Britney Spears Reportedly Believes Ex Sam Asghari Fed Father Jamie Spears Info About Her During Conservatorship

Pop star Britney Spears reportedly "secretly believes" that her ex-husband Sam Asghari told secrets to her father, Jamie Spears, to keep her in a conservatorship that ultimately lasted for about 13 years.

Started in February 2008, it was finally struck down by a judge in November 2021. Britney started dating Sam after they met on the set of her "Slumber Party" music in 2016. He popped the question in September 2021 and the two were married in June 2022 at a star-studded wedding at her Thousand Oaks estate in Los Angeles, California.

Unfortunately, reports of trouble in paradise started almost immediately, and by March 2023, the two were both photographed without their wedding rings. According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Sam recorded the date of separation as July 28 but did not officially file for divorce until August 16.

Sam had been working as a personal trainer at the time he had been cast in the "Slumber Party" music video. Almost as soon as the two started officially dating, fan theories started speculating that Jamie had deliberately planted Sam in Britney's life in order to gain even more control over his daughter. Fans may never find out if there is any truth to those rumors, but a new report suggests that Britney believes them.

On Wednesday, August 31, the Daily Mail reported that the "Toxic" singer has become suspicious that the "Special Ops: Lioness" actor has been feeding her father information about her during her conservatorship. The two met in 2016 but the conservatorship did not end until 2021, leaving a five-year period of time where Sam could have been giving her father information about her.

“Britney has reason to believe that Sam was secretly working with her dad Jamie since early on in their relationship,” the insider claimed. “Sam would supply information to Jamie that would help to keep her locked in the conservatorship. In exchange, Sam was given access to her and her money. Britney now feels like Sam was being deceitful all along.”

The source went on to say that Britney had a lot of "unhappiness" in her marriage to Sam Asghari that caused her to pull away from the relationship "months" before he officially filed for divorce, which might have been around the time the two were spotted out and about without their wedding rings months before their one-year anniversary.

“Britney was done with Sam months ago and was very unhappy,” the source claimed. “There were plans in place to set Sam up with his own place and give him money to live on so that it would be amicable.” Given reports that Britney is the one paying $10,000 each month for Sam's luxury high-rise in Los Angeles, it appears that there might have been some truth to that rumor.

Even though the couple posted plenty of photos and videos of them smiling and laughing together on Instagram, fans always felt that there might be something underneath the surface. In December 2022, only a few months after they tied the knot, Britney revealed that her "unhappiness" in her marriage led her to stop eating and left her crying in her car.

In December 2022, Sam wished his followers a “Merry Britmas” on Instagram and shared a photo of “a little hike” and “a little meditation on Christmas day.” He added, “My wife is really becoming a meditation guru and I love it.”

However, many fans started calling the actor out in the comments, because that was not what Britney had said in a deleted Instagram post about two weeks before. In that post, the “Stronger” singer claimed that her husband “hates” her meditation practice and thought she had “gone bonkers.”

“I’m that meditation b—- now ??‍♀️… my husband hates it … he thinks I’ve gone bonkers,” she wrote at the time, adding, “Normally I forget to eat … I wait way too long and I’m too sensitive so if anything goes wrong at the house it’s like the world has ended.”

“So l got in my car yesterday and I cried … I cried so d--- hard but geez, my car is my spaceship ? … it’s where I have my best interests, thoughts, creative urges, ideas, it’s spiritual … totally spiritual and we’re all in this together on the road,” she wrote at the time.
