Toxic work environments seem to be all the rage for A-list celebrities, allegedly.

It’s crazy to think some of the most lovable, relatable and happiest celebrities have created a workplace where toxicity is allowed.

Jimmy Fallon is one of the most recent stars to garner negative publicity for his bad and “erratic” behavior behind the scenes.

In a Rolling Stone tell-all recently published, multiple employees (current and former) come forward with horrible stories about the “Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” host.

Two current and 14 former staffers for Fallon spoke out about his “erratic” behavior and what they deemed a “toxic” work environment.

The employees ranged from production crew members to office staffers to show writers.

What’s more, they even made claims the ‘SNL’ alum had “good Jimmy days” and “bad Jimmy days.”

Employees Feared What Kind Of 'Jimmy Day' It Would Be At Work

“Nobody told Jimmy, ‘No.’ Everybody walked on eggshells, especially showrunners,” a former employee told RS. “You never knew which Jimmy we were going to get and when he was going to throw a hissy fit. Look how many showrunners went so quickly. We know they didn’t last long.”

He has had nine show runners since he took over the nightly talk show in 2014.

‘Tonight Show’ employees told RS they’d been made to feel “belittled and intimidated” by their superiors at work, including Fallon.

The claims even went as far as saying Fallon seemed drunk on the job back in 2017. Another set of workers claimed to have smelled alcohol on the host’s breath in an elevator on separate occasions in 2019 and 2020.

Since the bombshell report was published, Fallon has since apologized to staffers. In a Zoom call held on Thursday, September 7th, he reportedly said, “It’s embarrassing and I feel so bad. Sorry if I embarrassed you and your family and friends.”

Find Out WHO Else Was Called Out For "TOXICITY"

Fallon continued, “I never set out to create that type of atmosphere at the show. I think sometimes I’m working with the best of the best, you guys are the top of the game. I want this show to be fun, it should be inclusive for everybody, it should be funny, it should be the best show, the best people.”

Per staff members who were on the Thursday call, Fallon “felt pretty earnest” in his apology.

Sadly, the same cannot be said for Ellen DeGeneres, who infamously got exposed for a toxic work environment in 2020.

Multiple staff members spoke up, and people online revealed their experiences with her alleged unfriendliness.

Many found the news shocking and ironic, because DeGeneres has built her multimillion-dollar brand on the motto “be kind to one another.”

Apparently Ellen Forgot To Implement Her "Be Kind" Motto At Work

Eleven staffers revealed her bad behavior which allegedly included racism, fear and intimidation.

One former employee told BuzzFeed, “That ‘be kind’ bullsh*t only happens when the cameras are on. It’s all for show. I know they give money to people and help them out, but it’s for show.”

DeGeneres faced MASSIVE online backlash.

So, she did what any celebrity trying to save face would do… she made an apology video.

Ellen Apologized... Kind Of

At the beginning of her 18th season on-air, DeGeneres addressed the toxic workplace allegations.

“I learned that things happened here that never should have happened. I take that very seriously and I want to say I am so sorry to the people who were affected. I know that I'm in a position of privilege and power and I realized that with that comes responsibility, and I take responsibility for what happens at my show,” she said.

She then went on to acknowledge the allegations that many people had been waiting to hear her speak out on, which centered around Ellen not being the same person behind the scenes as she portrays on the show, and not abiding by her “be kind” mantra

“The truth is, I am that person that you see on TV. I am also a lot of other things. Sometimes I get sad. I get mad. I get anxious. I get frustrated. I get impatient. And I am working on all of that,” DeGeneres explained.

Booty twerking, flute playing music sensation Lizzo is also among the alleged “toxic workplace” celebrities.

Last month, The Blast reported on the original three women who came forward with claims that Lizzo sexually harassed and mistreated them. They were part of her Big Grrl dancers crew.

They filed a 44-page lawsuit against the singer, and one dancer, Arianna Davis, alleged that Lizzo “pressured” and “goaded” her into touching a nude performer’s breast.

Davis protested many times that she did not want to do it. After that incident, Lizzo allegedly “badgered a member of her security team to get on stage where she pulled down his pants and hit him with whips, yelling ‘Take it off!’”

Lizzo showed “little regard” for the “bodily autonomy of her employees and those around her, especially in the presence of many people whom she employed.”

Another Big Grrl by the name of Crystal Williams claimed she was fired after sticking up to Lizzo, who was allegedly overworking her dancers.

She described the 12-hour rehearsals as “excruciating” and would fire dancers at the end if she wasn’t happy with their performance. Davis admitted to peeing herself because she was so afraid to ask to go to the washroom.

Lizzo denied the dancers’ claims and released a statement two days after the lawsuit was filed.

“My work ethic, morals and respectfulness have been questioned,” she said. “My character has been criticized. Usually I choose not to respond to false allegations but these are as unbelievable as they sound and too outrageous to not be addressed.”

Lizzo noted that these particular dancers “have already publicly admitted that they were told their behavior on tour was inappropriate and unprofessional.”
