The 'Like That' Artist Emphasizes Authenticity Over External Opinions

Known for her unapologetic approach, the Grammy Award winner took to her Instagram Story to reinforce her unwavering stance on staying true to herself. The "Wine Pon You" artist's purpose was to make it clear that she valued her fans' understanding of her genuine self above all else.

At the same time, she subtly hinted that those who remain unaware of her essence hold little significance. In the post, she shared an image of a faucet with a black head pouring into what appeared to be a bathtub.

Above it, she wrote, "All that matters to me is that my fans know who I am and the others are stuck trying to figure out." The message came on the heels of her response on Instagram Story to the loss of numerous followers, stating:

"Seeing all these people unfollow me makes me feel like I've defeated a large beast that's been holding me down for so long. And it feels like I can reconnect with the people who really matter and love me for who I am and not for who I was."

The "Need to Know" singer paired the statement with an image of cars in motion on a highway. In her subsequent post, she penned a cryptic message across the same photo: "I do not 'fart,' my a** simply whispers."
