Britney Spears Reactivates Her Instagram Account Following Brief Social Media Break

On Wednesday, August 30, Britney Spears deactivated her Instagram account amid her divorce from actor Sam Asghari.
Her last post, dated August 28, was a cryptic quote about boundaries that read: “You can mute people in real life too. It’s called boundaries.” The pop star had previously taken to Instagram to call out "false" reports about her relationship.
Fortunately, the social media break didn't last too long, and Britney is now back on Instagram!
Britney Spears Returns To Instagram After Taking A Break For A Few Hours
On Wednesday, August 30, around 7 PM, the “Oops!...I Did It Again” singer reinstated her Instagram page after previously taking it down around 4 PM earlier that day. She did not post anything new, as the cryptic quote about boundaries is still there to see. However, several of the videos that show her dancing in an animal-print body suit and brown bra have been deleted. It looks like there are still plenty left for fans to watch, however!
She also left up an Instagram post from four days ago that featured a behind-the-scenes look at an old photoshoot. “Before documentaries like TMZ existed … it wasn’t acceptable for the press to make shows on innocent people to spread false information and ruin reputations 😒😒😒 !!! Back when Hollywood had value and respect !!!” she wrote in the caption.
It seems that Britney might have deleted her Instagram page in response to criticism about her divorce, but then thought better of it, especially considering a report that came out today alleging that she is ready to start dating and "meet hot guys" amid her split from the "Special Ops: Lioness" actor.

On Wednesday, August 30, only a few hours before Britney deactivated her Instagram account, a source told Us Weekly “This is a new chapter for Britney in more ways than one.” They revealed that she plans to release some new music in the near future, sharing, “The songs will be about freeing herself from negativity and unhealthy people.”
However, it looks like the “Womanizer” singer wants to get out and about and meet new people. “As far as dating goes, Britney just wants to enjoy her freedom and meet hot guys — that seems to be the priority,” the source shared, adding, “It’s hard to know what Britney really wants down the line — it changes so frequently.”
There are some who are worried about the pop star. “She was finally getting to a positive place, and then Sam filed for divorce. People are worried how all of this will affect her,” they said while another insider added, “Some people are of the opinion that Britney’s on a dangerous downward spiral and the stuff she’s been [doing] hasn’t done much to dampen that worry. The concern for Britney’s welfare right now is off the charts.”
The source went on to say that Britney feels “manipulated and betrayed” by the actor and the two are not on speaking terms. Instead, one source said that “She’s paying him until they settle everything in court,” which even includes paying $10,000 a month for his luxury high-rise apartment in Los Angeles.
Only one day before Britney deactivated her Instagram account, a source told Page Six that the former personal trainer was “unemployed” and “still looking for his big break” in Hollywood. Unfortunately, with the writer’s strike and the SAG-AFTRA strike still ongoing, it seems there is little work for him to do.
“He’s jobless,” the insider said. “He doesn’t have any acting gigs lined up at the moment.” His last project, “Grand Death Lotto,” wrapped filming a few weeks before the strike began. TMZ echoed that report, adding that he has no plans to keep working at Royal Personal Training in Los Angeles, where he was working when he first met Britney.
Sources told the outlet that Sam wants to keep working as a character actor or even take on some TV hosting jobs as well. Unfortunately, with the writer’s strike and the actors' strike ongoing, it seems that it might be a while before he is able to land his next gig.
Meanwhile, it looks like the pop star's career is only going up. In addition to releasing new music of her own, Madonna has reportedly invited her on stage during one of the L.A. stops in her Celebration tour. “Britney’s grateful for the support she’s gotten from her friends in the biz — Madonna especially,” a source told Us Weekly on Wednesday. “She’d love to join her, but the question is whether or not she can handle that type of pressure and attention.”
It's not clear how much pressure the “Toxic” singer can handle at the moment, as she has apparently also indicated her interest in doing a “big sit-down interview” to coincide with the release of her new memoir, “The Woman In Me,” which hits bookshelves on October 24, 2023.
“Her team will have to evaluate where she is at to see if she is ready for it,” a source told the outlet. Although her team seems to want to take things slow, it definitely looks like Britney Spears might be on her way to making a career comeback and fans can't wait!
