Doja Cat Is Not Ashamed To Show Her Excitement About Her "Scarlet" Album

Doja proved her versatility when she took to her Instagram Story to share a ten-second clip of her rolling her trim waist seductively. For the moment, the "Kiss Me More" singer donned a tiny white flare skirt with a brown wide belt and a sheer bralette-style top that left nothing to the imagination.

She completed the outfit with her short blond hair, multiple small earrings, a heart-shaped locket around her neck, and a pair of cowboy boots. The boots became visible when she got into motion by clasping her hands and raising one leg to twist her waist while lip-syncing to the song playing in the background.

Wearing a huge smile on her face, she crossed her arms around her midriff and continued moving her belly ring-adorned waist. Although short, the dance built up the anticipation that fans have been experiencing since Doja — Amala Zandile Dlamini — made the announcement about her upcoming album.

The build-up originally began in June when the award-winning artist released the album's lead single, "Attention," in June. According to Billboard, the song has climbed to No. 31 on the outlet's Hot 100, with a second track from the impending project, "Paint the Town Red" gaining significant traction this week, soaring into the Hot 100's top five due to its viral presence on TikTok.

Notably, "Paint the Town Red" also jumped from the 5th to the 1st spot on this week's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Prior to its rapid rise into the top five this week, the song entered the Hot 100 at an impressive No. 15, marking Doja's highest debut without a collaboration thus far.

"Scarlet" will follow the highly successful 2021 album "Planet Her," which produced an impressive five top 20 hits on the Hot 100 chart, including "Kiss Me More" featuring SZA [peaking at No. 3], "You Right" with The Weeknd [reaching No. 11], "Need to Know" [reaching No. 8)], "Woman" [reaching No. 7], and "Get Into It (Yuh)" [reaching No. 20].

The MTV Video Music Awards winner is set to release the third track from the highly-anticipated album, titled "Demons," on Friday. She has been sharing intriguing visual teasers on her social media throughout the week, hinting at a likely music video for it.

Before the album clamoring began, the Grammy Award recipient had disclosed her intention to embark on a fresh musical direction musically. Sharing the tidbit earlier this year, she pointed out that even though her previous works had "explored a lot of pink, soft, pop, and glittery themes," she wanted to steer her music towards "a more masculine direction."

Amid spending extended periods on charts, Doja has begun actively considering ventures beyond music. She revealed her intentions to explore these new domains during a recent interview where she stated:

"There are other kinds of projects I want to branch out into. I want to make clothing and dabble in makeup. I want to explore acting."

Explaining that she "would love to do movies" that she believes in, the songstress added, "I would have to stop the music for a minute. But I would be down to immerse myself in acting for a certain period. I love comedies and action films. I want to learn martial arts and be in a film like 'John Wick.'"
