According to Page Six, the former "Saturday Night Live" star, who has made no secret of his battle with mental health issues and his use of medications, reportedly told the audience at Madison Square Garden on Saturday night while warming up for Dave Chapelle that he's been using the anesthetic recently.

Further inquest into the reports by the news outlet had a close friend of Davidson confirm that it is accurate and that he has been using it in no small dose.

Ketamine, traditionally used as an anesthetic and horse tranquilizer, has gained significant attention in recent years for its potential as a rapid-acting antidepressant. The treatment involves controlled administration of the drug under medical supervision. It was approved by the Food and Drug Administration as a nasal spray (which is how Davidson has allegedly been administering it to himself) in 2019.

Unlike traditional antidepressant drugs that can take weeks to show effects, ketamine has shown the ability to alleviate depressive symptoms in a matter of hours or days. This fast-acting nature makes it an attractive option for individuals like Davidson searching for more immediate relief.

Davidson was ordered to complete 50 hours of community service following a reckless driving charge. The charge against Davidson stemmed from an incident earlier this year when he crashed into a Beverly Hills home while driving, with his then-girlfriend Wonders in the passenger seat.

According to Page Six, Davidson entered an 18-month diversion program that'll see him avert any criminal record if he complies with certain conditions. Some of the conditions will require him to complete 50 hours of community service, attend 12 hours of traffic school, and be educated at a hospital or morgue on the possible results of reckless driving.
