P!nk is still mourning the loss of her beloved father, James Moore, who sadly passed away at 75 in August 2021.

The bereaved musician has never failed to show how close she and her father were even despite her fame, and she is now marking his second death anniversary alongside her fans. 

She memorialized the late insurance salesman on social media with a touching tribute of love, expressing how much she misses him while promising to keep his memory alive forever.

Two years following the death of P! nk's father, her heart still hurts, and she voiced so on her Instagram in honor of his second death anniversary.

The pop royalty, whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore Hart, uploaded a heartfelt video capturing James and her 6-year-old son, Jameson Moon Hart sitting at a table in a restaurant. They seemed to be having fun as the elderly male made comical facial expressions at the little one. 

 The 43-year-old also filmed her father tickling his grandchild, prompting the tot to giggle. Taking to the caption, she admitted that the day was painful, given how much she missed him.

"I miss you, Dad," she penned. "The kids do too. Sometimes, I hate how time flies. Sometimes, I hate how we have to be funny in order to avoid the hurt. Today, it isn't funny. Today, it just hurts."

P!nk added that she was "glad" her father did not hurt anymore and hoped he was living the best life wherever he was. In her words,"I hope they still call you twinkle toes and that you're still getting out of line. I hope you're singing along. I hope you're making everyone laugh. I hope you feel this love ❤️‍? gone but not forgotten, Daddy Sir."

Such genuine words did not go unnoticed by her followers, as many who could relate to her loss sympathized with her and sent well-wishes in the comments sections.

One devotee expressed, "Sending love. Lost both my parents (Mam in December and Dad in July). I'm broken, but they would want us to enjoy life, be happy and strong. You make him proud daily like you always did ❤️."

Another who lost their mom to cancer also joined in "sending love" before confessing that the "Get the Party Started" singer's songs brought them "so much peace in a season of so much pain and sadness." A third commenter added, "Melt my heart ❤️ Such a sweet memory of love, I feel you, like you I miss my dad and mom every single day ❤️ hugs."

One more shared, "Losing a parent sucks so f–king hard! To all the angel parents, we miss you so damn much!" Similarly, a fifth fan wrote, "Sending you all the love today ? Losing a parent is a hurt like no other, especially when they are your best friend ?" before a fellow Instagram user declared: 

"Some say time heals all wounds, I say this is not true with everything ?. Your dad would be so proud of you, and I'm sure he's smiling down on you from above ?. Sending hugs ????."

This will not be the first time this year that P!nk paid homage to her dad as she once did so in January with a throwback shot on Instagram. She also expressed how much she yearned for the deceased’s presence, using a short note that read, "Miss you, Dad." 

In the picture, featuring a 15-second smooth jazz song, the R&B musician was captured as an infant attempting to climb onto her father's lap as he positioned to play his guitar.

In 2021, seven weeks following P!nk's father's death, she celebrated his posthumous 76th birthday on Instagram with an emotional message attached to a photo of his resting place.

The Grammy Award winner confessed in her note that knowing the deceased for 42 years was not enough, adding how much of an influence James was in her life. She also revealed that he was "the only one" who understood her, and she did not know where she was since he was not with her. 

In conclusion, P!nk wished the late septuagenarian a happy birthday while proclaiming he was "gone but not forgotten."
