Singer Pink Shares Touching Tribute In Honor Of Her Dad's Posthumous 76th Birthday

These are heartbreaking times for Pink as the punk star recently lost her father, Jim Moore. In honor of what would have been his 76th birthday, the "Just Like A Pill" singer shared a heartwarming tribute.

The mother-of-two bared her heart open with an emotional message on Instagram that expressed the 42-year-old's love for her late father as well as the pain of his death. 

Pink is well known for her powerful song lyrics, and the musician channeled her talents into writing a beautiful but sad piece for her father's posthumous birthday.

This heartfelt message was shared on Instagram alongside a picture of her father's grave. The Vietnam Veteran died seven weeks before the post after a long battle with prostate cancer.

Although it didn't have a gravestone, the burial site of the late soldier was adorned with a USA flag while a lit birthday candle sat on top of two black doughnuts resting on the protective paper. 

The "Just Give Me A Reason" songstress addressed the image in a lyrical form, in which she confessed that knowing her father for "42 years" was not enough time.

Pink continued her emotional tribute by addressing how Jim had positively impacted her life and how the Father-Daughter pair understood their woes. In her words,

"You and i's hearts have always been a bit broken. And you're the only one that understood that without having to talk about it. I don't know where you are. And therefore I don't know where I am either."

The mother-of-two concluded her message by wishing her father a happy birthday. She also stated that the late veteran was "gone but not forgotten."

Pink has always been candid about her tight relationship with Jim and the life lessons he passed on to her.

As reported by PEOPLE, when the "Cover Me In Sunshine" singer received her Hollywood Walk of Fame star in 2019, she expressed her gratitude to her father.

The 42-year-old stated that her award was the realization of her father's teachings. The songstress' late hero had taught her about the importance of self-love and never giving up.

Pink and her husband, Carey Hart, march to the beat of their drums and encourage their children to do the same.

In September 2019, The Blast reported that the couple's daughter Willow had gotten a head-turning punk-rock haircut. The proud father also showed off his little girl's look on Instagram.

Hart expressed in the post caption that he couldn't wait to see the type of woman Willow would grow up to be as she was already wowing him with her confidence. 

The happy father advised others to live their lives to the fullest without judgment. In his words, "It's better to be yourself. Own it, and love it."

Although Pink is currently going through a difficult period, it is comforting to know that she has such an amazing family supporting her.
