More fans echoed similar sentiments, with someone claiming the 10-time Bravo Otto award recipient was being modest. "She says that, but we know she cares and wants this to be successful. So yes, we need to buy and stream," the Selenator declared.

Gomez's remarks about her music came days after the Serendipity ice cream brand owner teased her latest single on her Instagram page. In the short trailer she shared, the businesswoman walked into a room with her younger sister, Gracie’s voice playing in the background.

“I love you, Sissy. Don’t ever worry about boyfriends, like AT ALL!” the little girl advised the 31-year-old. As the title implied, "Single Soon" was a SOLO anthem about breakups and embracing the transition to singlehood.

Before revealing she had undergone surgery, the music video for Gomez's latest song went viral for an unexpected scene. The "People You Know" hitmaker showed love for the beloved "Sex and the City" franchise by recreating a pivotal moment from the HBO series' sixth season.

In the episode, the novelist Jack Berger (played by Ron Livingston) broke up with the show's female lead, Carrie Bradshaw (played by Sarah Jessica Parker). The male character abruptly ended the duo's relationship using a sticky note with the message: "I'm sorry. I can't. Don't hate me."

The multi-hyphenate star utilized the iconic separation technique in the music video for "Single Soon." At the clip's start, the two-time Grammy nominee contemplated the best way to end a relationship, singing: "Should I do it on the phone? Should I leave a little note in the pocket of his coat?"

After a brief hesitation, Gomez settled on using Berger's breakup message and followed the fictional character's technique by announcing the split on a yellow Post-it note. Following her newfound freedom, the songstress celebrated singlehood by partying with her friends.
