In a moving return to live performances, the actress and the 16-time Grammy Awards winner graced the stage for the first time since the 55-year-old nanny's unexpected passing. The couple performed on Tuesday at a private event in Ravello, Italy, and were joined by actor Erich Bergen, known for starring alongside McPhee in the movie "Waitress."

The "Comfort Country" actress also communicated her absence to her Asian fans regarding the final two Jakarta shows via a message on Instagram:

"Dearest Jakarta fans, it's with heavy heart I announce I have to miss our final 2 shows of our Asia run. David and I have had a horrible tragedy in our family, and at least one of us needs to get back home to our family."

In November, The Blast reported that after a long-awaited musical reunion, McPhee and Foster were gearing up to serenade their fans once again. Marking a 17-year gap in their joint music releases, the pair decided to take advantage of the approaching festive season.

Sharing the news on Instagram, the "Scorpion" star announced that she and the 73-year-old had collaborated on recording a Christmas album, a heartfelt dedication to celebrating the upcoming holiday.

The mother-of-one posted a stunning photo showcasing herself and the songwriter seated in a room adorned with Christmas presents and a brilliantly lit Christmas tree. Posing elegantly beside a majestic piano, McPhee radiated allure in a black, form-fitting, sleeveless gown embellished with glittering sequins.

Her hair was fashioned into a chic bun, and she accessorized with diamond earrings and a bracelet for a touch of sophistication. Meanwhile, the producer cut a dashing figure in a simple white shirt, a sleek black waistcoat, and a matching tie.

A swipe to the left revealed a news publication's headline that offered a sneak peek into their freshly recorded album. In the post's caption, she excitedly wrote:

"Super excited I got to record with my best friend again – first time was when I was just off of American idol 17 years ago – and the good part was he had to do all the work.? I just listened to who I deem as the absolute best, and the rest was simple."
