Iggy Azalea Sold Musical Catalog For A Whopping Eight-Figure Sum

Having already achieved worldwide record sales in the millions since her debut as an artist, Azalea has chosen to elevate her financial gains further by selling her master recording and publishing catalog for an impressive eight-figure sum.

Engaging with fans on Twitter, the 2014 ARIA Award winner for Breakthrough Artist addressed a worried user's query regarding her recent catalog sale

The individual wrote, "I just hope she doesn't end up like Taylor (no shade at all, just using it as an example)." To which she responded, "Taylor did not profit from that sale. I sold a portion of my catalog to who I wanted for an amount that means I don't have to work another day in my life."

While expressing genuine affection for her fans, the "Problem" hit-maker acknowledged that the discourse surrounding ownership of "masters" might be too much for them to understand. This could be attributed to the fact that, as reported by Billboard, she did not technically relinquish her music rights despite the discussions.
