Sam Asghari Reportedly Ended Marriage Due To Britney Spears’ Erratic Behavior

There is new information coming out regarding the split between actor Sam Asghari and pop star Britney Spears.

In addition to allegations that the 41-year-old pop star cheated on the 29-year-old actor with an employee who worked in their home, sources have also come forward to say that the “Toxic” singer left the “Special Ops: Lioness” actor with bruises and bite marks after a fight and even gave him a black eye while he was sleeping.

However, new reports indicate that it was simply the “Hold Me Closer” singer’s increasingly “erratic” behavior that led the actor to walk out on their 14-month marriage.

Fans of the pop star have been concerned with some of the photos and videos that she has posted on Instagram over the past year, but a new report indicates that posting and deleting the same video several times is only a small fraction of the “Circus” singer’s allegedly “erratic” behavior.

On Saturday, a source told The Sun that Britney has been known to “rant and shout at staff while making ridiculous demands,” adding, “Her behavior has become concerning and everyone is worried about her.”

“She has been acting increasingly erratic and is in a vulnerable state. Sam was bearing the brunt and it proved too much,” the insider claimed, adding that her behavior has “plunged to a new low” and “is sad to see.”

Another insider claimed that “She’s very volatile, always ranting and shouting at the staff over minor things and making ridiculous demands,” adding, “There’s smashed glass all over the house because Britney will just throw things.” It’s not clear what Britney is throwing, but one source went on to say that she has a “weird” obsession with knives.

“She has a weird obsession with knives. She has been throwing them at the walls and hiding them down the sofa,” the source alleged. “It is as though she is paranoid someone is after her and she needs the knives as protection.” Sources had previously told TMZ that the singer kept knives throughout the home and even in her bedroom. “Britney tended to fly off the handle at the smallest slight and that terrified Sam,” they claimed, adding that they had been told that there have been “numerous fights” where security had to get involved.

In her January 2022 memoir, “Things I Should Have Said,” Britney’s sister, Jamie Lynn Spears wrote that Britney could become “paranoid and erratic” and recalled an incident with a knife in 2004. “She said to me, ‘Baby, I’m scared’, and took a large knife from the kitchen, pulled me along to my room and she locked us both inside.”

At the time, Britney responded to her sister on Twitter. “Jamie Lynn … congrats babe!” Britney tweeted at the time. “You’ve stooped to a whole new level of LOW … I’ve never been around you ever with a knife or would I ever even think to do such !!!”

“The only knife I ever saw you with at home was cutting the biggest pieces of squash I ever saw in my life and it was too big for me to cut,” she continued. “So please please stop with these crazy lies for the Hollywood books !!!” She went on to call her sister “scum,” writing, “I wish the almighty, Lord would come down and show this whole world that you’re lying and making money off of me !!!! You are scum, Jamie Lynn.”

Regardless, it looks like Britney has been getting plenty of support from her famous friends. One source told The Sun that Madonna, who went through her own health scare recently, wants to be there for the pop star after attending her June 2022 wedding.

“Madonna feels very maternal towards Britney. She has always been a rock for her behind the scenes and this is no different,” the source said. “She wants Britney to know she’s not alone and anything she needs — legal support or otherwise — she is there to help.”

It looks like trouble had been brewing between the former couple for a while, as they were photographed without their wedding rings in March. The actor filed for divorce on August 16, 2023, but listed the date of separation as July 28, 2023, according to the court documents obtained by The Blast.
