Britney Spears and Sam Asghari Reportedly Go No Contact Amid Divorce

Singer Britney Spears and actor Sam Asghari have reportedly cut off all contact with one another amid their divorce.

On August 16, the 29-year-old actor filed for divorce from the 41-year-old pop star, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split. On the court documents, he listed July 28, 2023, as the date of separation and requested attorney's fees and spousal support.

Further reports have indicated that Sam will not be getting anything from the divorce, as her prenup precludes the ability to provide spousal support, hinting that things may come down to a messy court battle, especially with Britney refusing to give up custody of the two dogs they adopted during their six-year relationship.

According to a new report, Britney and Sam have cut all contact with each other amid their divorce. Instead, they are letting everything go through their lawyers. Although they have each made a short statement on social media regarding the split, it looks like things will be handled through their respective legal teams from now on.

On Friday, a source told Us Weekly, “She’s not letting [Sam] in the home and they aren’t talking,” adding, “They have had problems for a while and all of the drama surrounding Britney was incredibly hard for Sam to take.”

The insider divulged that the “intensity” around the pop star was “killing him,” but he “tried to make it work.” The source went on to claim, “It’s been draining, yet his love never wavered. He just wishes people understood the depth of what they’re going through.”

A second source admitted that the couple had “issues” in their marriage but did not seem inclined to believe reports that Britney had cheated on her husband with an employee in the home. “Their friends would be really surprised if Britney cheated and they just don’t see that as a possibility,” the insider said on Thursday. “Although things seemed OK on the surface, there was a lot going on behind the scenes. Sam just wasn’t happy and no longer saw a future with Britney.”

Sources previously told TMZ that all communication between the couple ended earlier this week when Sam finally packed up and left Britney’s Thousand Oaks estate for what seems to be the last time.

On Thursday afternoon, the actor took to his Instagram Stories to leave a brief statement regarding the divorce. “After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together,” he wrote.

“We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other and I wish her the best always. Sh*t happens," he continued. "Asking for privacy seems [ridiculous] so I will just ask for everyone including media to be kind and thoughtful.”

On Friday night, the pop star later took to Instagram to share a video of her dancing around in her living room. In the caption, she made a lengthy statement about her divorce, revealing that although she is “a little shocked” by the split, she couldn’t “take the pain anymore.”

“As everyone knows, Hesam and I are no longer together … 6 years is a long time to be with someone so, I’m a little shocked but … I’m not here to explain why because its honestly nobody’s business !!! But, I couldn’t take the pain anymore honestly !!!" she wrote. "In some sort of telepathic way I have been receiving so many messages that melt my heart from friends and I thank you !!!"

"I’ve been playing it strong for way too long and my Instagram may seem perfect but it’s far from reality and I think we all know that !!!" she continued. "I would love to show my emotions and tears on how I really feel but some reason I’ve always had to hide my weaknesses !!! If I wasn’t my dad’s strong soldier, I would be sent away to places to get fixed by doctors !!!"

"But that’s when I needed family the most !!! You’re supposed to be loved unconditionally … not under conditions !!!!" she added. "So I will be as strong as I can and do my best !!! And I’m actually doing pretty d*mn good !!! Anyways have a good day and don’t forget to smile !!!"
