Lynne Spears Allegedly ‘Begging’ Britney Spears To Leave LA Amid Sam Asghari Divorce

It looks like pop star Britney Spears is still having trouble with her family amid news that her husband, Sam Asghari, filed for divorce on Wednesday.

Although it seemed that she was starting to reconcile with her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, and her mother, Lynne Spears, it seems that their relationship has begun to sour once again.

It seems that Lynne Spears is still feeling protective of her daughter, even despite the estrangement. On Thursday afternoon, sources told the Daily Mail that Lynne Spears is “furious” with the actor for “abandoning” her daughter. She is now “begging” the pop star to leave her Thousand Oaks estate in Los Angeles and come stay with her in Louisiana to “heal and regroup.”

"Lynne is furious at [Sam] for abandoning Britney,” a source divulged. “He took a vow to stand by her side through sickness and health - and he knew she was not well [when they married].” They continued, “Lynne is begging [Britney] to leave LA and live with her,” adding, “LA is toxic and the only thing keeping her there was [Sam]. Lynne believes she can heal and regroup in Louisiana, then return to LA when she is ready.”

The family first approved of Sam when the singer first met him while filming her “Slumber Party” music video in 2016. At the time, sources close to the family say that Lynne thought that he was a “kind guy” who just wanted to “save” the “Toxic” singer.

“The sensible people in her life will be sad that the marriage is over. The feeling was that he thought he could save her, but maybe there is no saving Britney,” the source said, while a second insider alleged that Sam “checked out of the marriage” when he realized Britney “could not be saved.”

They claimed that the actor “sat at home and played video games all day” before deciding to call it quits on their marriage after fourteen months. “Instead of working with her family to get her help, [they feel that] he abandoned her as soon as things got tough,” the source claimed.

Following the end of her conservatorship in November 2021, the California governor signed a bill limiting conservatorship to better protect the interests of those facing the same situation that Britney was in. As a result, her family will not be able to put her into another conservatorship; however, they are unsure how to protect the singer. “Family and friends feel it is truly at the point of life and death and they have to save her,” one insider told the outlet.

“They feel the only option would be another conservatorship, even though that's the last thing they'd want - but they cannot go down that road because she just got the paperwork to be released from the last one - and they've now even created a new law around it,” they continued.

During a 2021 court hearing, Britney claimed that the conservatorship was preventing her from living the life that she wanted to lead. “I want to be able to get married and have a baby,” she said at the time. “I was told right now in the conservatorship, I'm not able to get married or have a baby, I have an IUD inside of myself right now so I don't get pregnant.”

The pop star announced that she was pregnant last year but lost the baby in May 2022. At the time, she created an Instagram post asking for privacy from her fans, writing, “Our love for each other is our strength. We will continue trying to expand our beautiful family.”

Unfortunately, it looks like the divorce and the loss of a family she was hoping to have is hitting Britney hard. “She has been lonely and has been really sad that her kids are gone. She's still working on her relationship with her sister and family, but she is just alone and her only real outlet for anything to make her happy is her times when she puts up her dancing videos on Instagram,” another source said, adding, “'It isn't a really good time for Britney right now; she is not in a good space.”
