Meghan King Claims Jim Edmonds Pays Child Support Whenever Amid Backlash For Poor Financial Choice

Meghan King is criticizing Jim Edmonds, her ex-husband, and father of her three kids, whom she was married to from 2014 to 2021. 

Since the estranged couple's divorce, the 38-year-old reality star has made several claims about Edmonds, especially concerning their children. 

Most recently, as King's fans questioned her financial decisions, she dragged the former baseball player into it by accusing him of being inconsistent with paying child support while dishing parenting.

Using a series of the "sweetest pictures" on Instagram featuring King playing with her kids, she opened up about her struggles as a single mom having to set money aside for nannies, especially during travels.

The post gained quite the attention, including from critics like one who disapproved of her financial decisions. They stated, "Well, you married a Biden and lost support from Edmonds; that was a bad financial decision," referring to Cuffe Biden Owens, whom she was married to for a few months in 2021.

The "RHOC" alum immediately clapped back, exposing her ex for only paying child support funds when he felt like it. In her words, "Huh? Not only are u so ridiculously wrong (I don't get alimony, my children only receive child support when their father decides he wants to pay), you need to take many millions of seats. Ever heard the saying, "Stay in your lane?"

As for the update that triggered such a reaction, she recalled when she had to choose between finding a new nanny amid a trip with her kids to San José or taking two of her kids and leaving one with her mom.

She went with the second option and left her son Hart whom she believed would "soak up one-on-one time with his Momo, a highly desirable option for any of [her] kids."

Three days into the youngster's stay with grandma, they all reunited in Los Angeles, a "happy and emotional" moment, more than the Bravo star expected.

She explained, "I had a lot of mom guilt around this decision, but I made it out of their best interests (and a decidedly strong financial aspect), and I'd do it again, but next time Hayes or Aspen will get their days at Camp Momo."

King, who claimed to have loved not traveling with a nanny for the first time, anticipated doing so again before concluding with a shout-out to her mom for "making this all possible and taking a family trip with, well, just family." Not all comments were criticizing, as several commended the mother-of-three for handling motherhood well.

In one fan's words, "Great post-Meghan; rounding up two kiddos and keeping an eye on them while traveling is much easier than all three - appreciate your thought process and how you and your mom made it all work." A second followed: "It's SO nice for them to have one-on-one time with family; I bet he had a blast!!"

Three months prior, as King and Edmonds were in a custody battle, she lamented on Instagram about caring for her kids in such a "horrific situation when the other side is consumed with a vengeance." The Missouri native also asserted that she had been "beaten down, verbally abused, intimidated, threatened, and harassed" with no signs of her ex slowing down.

Fortunately, she could cope with it all thanks to the Instagram subscription model, as it provided a way to "release the abuse" she regularly received without having to "dwell on it or rehash it."

King has undoubtedly not allowed her former husband's supposed toxicity to affect her love life, as she was rumored to be dating her lawyer Andrew Felix in July.

Per reports, an informant divulged that the duo was "getting very close" while she worked on her memoir amid her custody battle with the father of her children.

The source claimed, "It's very new, but Andrew is just what she needs. Their values are super aligned, and they care about the causes. It started as a business relationship but turned into something more." 

The University of Mississippi alum was also seen in July eating out with Felix in New York, and while they did not pack on PDA, the lawyer's arm was draped across the back of her chair.
