Billie Eilish And Jesse Rutherford Are Still 'Good Friends'
Billie Eilish and her ex-boyfriend, Jesse Rutherford, may no longer be dating, but they're apparently still good friends.
During a recent Instagram Q&A session with her fans, Eilish confirmed that she's not dating anyone currently. She answered questions about her dog, Shark, and her favorite songs. When a fan asked specifically about Rutherford, the singer said they're "Very very good friends only" and that he's her "homie forever."
Relationship rumors between Eilish and Rutherford started in late 2022 when photos of their dinner date in West Hollywood went viral. The "Happier Than Ever" singer and the leader vocalist of the rock band, The Neighborhood were last seen as a couple at the 2023 Coachella.
They Were Together Until May 2023
Eilish and Rutherford confirmed the romance rumors with a satirical Halloween costume post on Instagram. She dressed as a baby while he dressed up like an older man. The duo was apparently poking fun at fans' constant criticism of their age at the time.
Their first public outing was in November, where they wore bedtime outfits to the LACMA Art + Film Gala. During an interview with Vanity Fair later that month, Eilish gushed about her new man and said she was "really happy and excited" to be with him.
She also called the singer the "hottest f***ing f***er alive" and said, "Can we just [get a] round of applause for me? Thank you, Jesse Rutherford, everyone." The couple were also together at the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty and had a cute Easter celebration in April.
However, in May, Eilish's rep confirmed to People Magazine that they'd ended their relationship. The statement read, "We can confirm Billie and Jesse did split amicably and remain good friends. All cheating rumors are false. Both are currently single."
Billie Eilish Calls Out Critics Of Her Fashion
Eilish recently slammed critics of her fashion. The Grammy award-winning singer defended herself and called out the online trolls. Speaking on the negativity head-on, the "What Was I Made For" crooner candidly shared her thoughts in a powerful statement posted to her Instagram stories.
“Letter to some comments I be seeing sometimes…,” Eilish wrote over a selfie of her rolling her eyes. “I spent the first 5 years of my career getting absolutely OBLITERATED by you fools for being boyish and dressing how I did and constantly being told I’d be hotter if I acted like a woman.”
She went on, “And now, when I feel comfortable enough to wear anything remotely feminine or fitting, I CHANGED and am a sellout.”
“You guys are true idiots,” Eilish slammed the haters before adding, “LOL, I can be BOTH you f***ing bozos.”
“LET WOMEN EXIST!” she concluded.
