Billie Eilish and Jesse Rutherford have officially broken up after dating for less than a year. Eilish's rep confirmed the split and said the couple "remain good friends" because there was no cheating involved.

The duo first triggered romance rumors last year after they were spotted having dinner in West Hollywood. Their romance received a lot of backlash, mainly because of the age gap between them. 

Eilish and Rutherford mocked the critics of their age gap by wearing a baby and old man couples outfit. During their relationship, Rutherford spent quality time with Eilish's family, like when he traveled to her hometown for her 21st birthday.

Billie Eilish and Jesse Rutherford are no longer dating after being together for almost a year. A rep for the "Bad Guy" singer confirmed the news to People magazine. They said, "We can confirm Billie and Jesse did split amicably and remain good friends. All cheating rumors are false. Both are currently single."

Eilish and Rutherford were last seen together at the recently held Coachella festival. The former couple first triggered relationship rumors after TMZ posted photos of them having dinner together in West Hollywood. At the time, they were seen kissing or showing any PDA, so the rumors weren't clear.

They Were Spotted Out Multiple Times

Shortly after the rumors started, Eilish and Rutherford were photographed kissing outside an Indian restaurant in Studio City. After those photos went viral on social media, the singer and her beau finally went Instagram official with a Halloween couples post.

In the Halloween photos, Eilish wore a baby costume with eyelashes and a pink bonnet, while Rutherford dressed like an elderly man with balding gray hair. A few days after, the former couple had their red carpet debut at the LACMA Art + Film Gala 2022. They wore a pajama-themed couple outfit for the gala.

Later that month, Eilish had an interview with Vanity Fair, during which she discussed the controversial relationship. The "Ocean Eyes" singer said she was "really happy and excited" to be with Rutherford and called him the "hottest f**king f**ker alive."

Jesse Rutherford Spent Time With Billie Eilish's Family

During their relationship, Eilish and Rutherford spent a lot of time together, and he even got to know her family. In December, they both traveled for her final KIA Forum hometown show to celebrate her 21st birthday.

Shortly after her birthday, Eilish held a Christmas-themed party, at which she and Rutherford wore matching outfits. The singer wore a red velvet dress inspired by Mrs. Claus, while Rutherford wore a red sweater, a button-down shirt, and green slacks.

In April this year, Eilish and Rutherford showed off their relationship at her family's Easter festivities. The "Lovely" singer made a photo dump of the day, with one photo showing Rutherford's hand resting on her thighs.

Eilish and Rutherford's relationship was controversial on social media because of their 11-year age gap when they started dating. During her conversation with Vanity Fair, the singer also talked about the online scrutiny of her relationship. She said, "Say what you need to say, but, like, I am in control right now. I did this."

Eilish also shared that her love language in a relationship is physical touch and shared things she needs in a relationship. She said, "I just need to be touching skin, all the time. Touching, and cuddling, and hugging, anything skin related is really a big thing for me. And other than that, just freedom."

Before the "When The Party's Over" singer dated Rutherford, she was with Matthew Tyler Vorce. She said, "I feel extremely grateful for the relationship that I was in last year and I think he's f**king so much happier now, which makes me really happy."
