Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, loves being a grandmother and is talking all about it!
Ferguson, nicknamed Fergie, is a devoted grandma to three grandkids, one of whom is Sienna, the only child from her eldest daughter Prince Beatrice's union with property developer Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
Despite her age, the 63-year-old podcaster never tires of spending quality time with her granddaughter, and she is sharing her experience in a new podcast episode, highlighting how much fun they always have.
Sarah Ferguson's Grandmother Duties Involve Playing With Sienna 'Every Minute Of The Day!'
Ferguson recently gave fans details of what her life is like as a grandmother to little Sienna — Sisi— in an episode of her "Tea Talks with the Duchess and Sarah" podcast, released on Wednesday, August 9.
She assumes her grandmotherly duties to the child whenever her daughter and son-in-law are away, which happened not long ago. "Beatrice and Edo are away, so Gee Gee is in charge, and it's really quite amusing," the philanthropist told her co-host, Sarah Thomson, during their chat, adding:
"I wished for the time that Sienna would come in and say, 'Gee Gee come and play,' and now every minute of the day, Sisi wants to come and play!"
With Ferguson's wish granted, she never gets a moment to do anything without "this wonderful little girl" and is definitely not complaining. After describing Sienna as "so sweet," she detailed that the youngster got up to "pulling at my skirt, jumping into my Ugg boots, and then making me go outside in the pouring rain and jump in puddles in the pouring rain."
The British author loved every moment and had no issues with the mess. She also named her granddaughter's favorite game, Thomas the Tank Engine, with Sisi directing her to act as the animated train.
Elaborating on what the game entails, Ferguson said they had to create a "train station" in the sitting room of the Royal Lodge with small chairs belonging to her daughters, Beatrice and Eugenie, when they were young.
The TV personality shares the princesses with her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, whom she married from 1986 to 1996 and remained close to after their divorce. In more detail, Ferguson stated that the train game involved her grandchild, who played the "station master," following her and going "choo choo-ing" around the room.
"She's the controller of Granny and Grandpa right now; I can certainly tell you that," the British monarch articulated to her co-anchor before divulging how much the baby reminded her of Princess Beatrice as a child.
She shared, "When I am following her, it looks just like Beatrice… it's taken me right back to following Beatrice around. It's literally mini-me." "We've had an extraordinary time," Ferguson continued. "I'm very glad that Beatrice and Edo got some time alone as well, so it's been extraordinary to be Gee Gee."
"The Young Victoria" producer became a grandmother for the third time back in May upon the birth of Ernest George Ronnie, her younger daughter Eugenie's son with husband Jack Brooksbank. Following the birth, Fergie got candid about the boy's name in the second episode of her podcast, revealing the special meaning behind it.
She said, "He's called Ernest George Ronnie. He's Ernest because George III's middle name was Ernest and because it's fabulous. It'll be good in Spain when we come to a villa. Ernesto." The "Finding Sarah" star then dished some more on the origin of the baby's other names, saying, "And then George after Jack's father and Ronald — Ronnie — after my father, which was touched [sic]."
Tributing her father with the infant's name was "so moving" to Fergie, and she admitted so, adding, "It was very kind, I thought, and made me cry, of course."
The Vestapol Films Co-founder's Daughter Was Tributed By Husband On 3rd Wedding Anniversary
Ferguson's update about being a grandmother comes after 35-year-old daughter Princess Beatrice was worshiped by her husband, Mozzi, most affectionately, on their third wedding anniversary last month.
On Instagram, he professed his love with a series of perfect images attached to a captivating note, beginning with: "Happy wedding anniversary to the most beautiful wife in the world.
"I'm so grateful for every moment we have shared," it continued. "Every challenge we have overcome, and every dream we have pursued together."
Mozzi then concluded by expressing his undying devotion and anticipation to celebrate "many more anniversaries" with Beatrice.
