Prince Andrew is not leaving his home without a fight! The second son of the late Queen Elizabeth II continues to butt heads with his older brother over his eviction from the Royal Lodge.

The Duke of York fell from grace following the revelation of his alleged ties to the deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. After facing sexual assault charges, the 63-year-old was forced to leave his public roles and lost his honorary military affiliations and royal charitable patronages.

Additionally, King Charles III reassigned his sibling's residence to his oldest son Prince William, the heir apparent to the British throne. However, the father of two has no plans on willingly evacuating the premises. Please keep reading to learn more about the royal member's situation.

Prince Andrew Allegedly Plans To Stay In Royal Lodge Amid Renovations

Per DailyMail, the Duke of York insists on never leaving the Royal Lodge, even when vital. According to the publication, Some necessary changes to Andrew's home would be carried out later in the summer, including roof repairs.

According to sources, the Windsor home had seven bedrooms on the two uppermost floors. Therefore it would be convenient for the Prince to move out while the roof renovations were being made temporarily.

Insiders suggested that the father of two should stay in the empty Frogmore Cottage, the former UK residence of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The Sussexes' previous home was offered to Andrew by the King; however, the property was a downsize compared to the Royal Lodge.

Despite the inconvenience he would experience during the repairs, the informants claimed the royal member feared being permanently dislodged from his longtime home if he left the property. Concerning the Duke of York's refusal to go, the sources lamented:

"It's become farcical. Andrew has roof repairs scheduled for later this summer, which will take several months to complete, and has been advised that staying in the house during those renovations could prove problematic. But he is reluctant to leave."

Echoing similar sentiments, another insider noted that Prince Andrew did not want to leave as he had more time to reside in the Royal Lodge as stated in his lease with the late Queen Mother. "They originally wanted Andrew out of Royal Lodge so that the property could be renovated and prepared for new lodgers," the source explained.

"But he is adamant that, as he has so many years left to run on his lease and spent millions from his fortune doing up the place, he is not going to leave his home," the informant continued. "He feels very strongly, perhaps with some justification, that they are moving the goalposts suddenly, which is hugely unfair."

The 63-year-old shares the reported £30 million mansion with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson. The former couple were the property's only occupants, which Charles believed could be used for better purposes. The late Queen Mother gave Andrew the lavish dwelling on a long-term lease.

Per the publication, the Duke had allegedly shelled out £7 million of his private funds on renovations during his stay in the Royal Lodge, one of the presumed reasons for the Londoner's reluctance to leave the residence.

In May, the Duke of York caused a stir by fighting against his older brother's eviction order. Sources close to the disgraced Prince claimed the Londoner would not vacate his home for Prince William and his family.

The sons of the longest-ruling monarch are at odds over the occupancy of the Royal Lodge. Andrew allegedly refuses to leave his long-term Windsor home, an eviction allegedly part of the King's plans to "scale down the monarchy."

According to the insiders, the 63-year-old wishes to complete the 75-year lease for the property, which he signed in 2003. Given the time frame, the father of two had about 55 years left to enjoy his stay at the Royal Lodge. However, the King wants his brother to move out with his former sister-in-law.

Per the monarch's downsize plans for the Duke, Queen Elizabeth's oldest son cut his sibling's allowance of £249,000, and as a result, Andrew might not be able to foot the expenses necessary to keep the mansion running.

Regarding his feelings about the eviction, sources claimed the former Honorary Fellow of Hughes Hall was saddened by his brother's order. "He is so fragile. He's refusing to see anybody. This has been his family home for the past 20 years. Is it sensible to kick him out?" the informant lamented.
