The Snow Plow Accident Happened In January
Renner's near-fatal accident happened at the start of the year when the actor was crushed beneath a seven-ton snow plow. He was at his Lake Tahoe property and was trying to pull his nephew's car out of the snow when he was dragged under his allegedly defective snow plow.
After the horrible accident happened, Renner was airlifted to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno, where he was critical for several hours. His injuries included over 30 broken bones, a punctured liver, a crushed torso, and hundreds of cuts and bruises.
When Renner eventually became stable, he started sharing his recovery progress on social media. He's posted photos and videos of his physical therapy sessions to regain his mobility.
One post made on January 21st featured some physical therapy clips. The caption read, "Morning workouts, resolutions all changed this particular new years …. Spawned from tragedy for my entire family, and quickly focused into uniting actionable love."
Jeremy Renner Spends Lots Of Time With His Daughter
Since his accident, Renner has been focusing a lot more on family time and has spent most of his time with his 10-year-old daughter Ava. The Father and daughter duo has been photographed together on trips to his physical therapy sessions, breakfast and lunch dates, and home family time.
The "Wind River" actor co-parents Ava with ex-wife Sonni Pacheco, to whom he was only married for about a year. Renner and Ava both attended the April premiere of his new Disney+ mini-series, "Rennervations."
The series features Renner as he helps many charities by reconstructing and revamping decommissioned vehicles for their use. At the premiere, he leaned heavily on a cane for support and later used a motorized scooter to access the stage, during which he received a standing ovation.
After he regained more mobility and was released from the hospital, the "The Bourne Legacy" actor also visited the medical staff at Renown Regional Medical Center Nevada. He wanted to thank them in person for their efforts to save his life.
