Ray J Surprises Wife Princess Love With New Maybach Drive For Birthday After Reconciliation

Despite filing for divorce three times since May 2020, Ray J and Princess Love seem to be making their marriage work by all means.

The couple have been married since August 2016 and share two adorable children. However, their union has never run out of drama, considering the multiple times they have separated. 

Nevertheless, Ray is putting in the effort as he went all out for the California-born actress ahead of her 39th birthday by gifting her an extravagant ride, causing mixed reactions from fans.

As seen in one of The Shade Room's latest Instagram posts, the younger brother of multifaceted artist Brandy Norwood surprised his woman with a shiny white Maybach before her birthday on Monday, August 14.

In the uploaded video, Love could be seen walking out of their house with their son Epik towards her new present and looking ravishing in a stylish purple dress embellished with tassels from her waist to knee.

Friends and family surrounded her like they were having a party, and someone gushed in the background about the Maybach, revealing in the process that the 38-year-old producer already had a Bentley.

Love appeared genuinely surprised to see the gift sitting in the driveway, and when given the car keys, she hopped in to reveal another package within the vehicle.

After bringing out the boxed item, her husband walked up to her to hug and kiss her on the cheek. In no time, commenters voiced their opinions about the romantic gesture, with some not being supportive.

"Chiiiile, why she give him that soft church hug ?," one critic noted before another one joked, "Ray J gone live Princess down even if they going through fiftyleven divorces ?."

One more condemning comment read, "Nowadays I be wondering if it's "hers hers" or if he can take it back during an argument ?" similar to another that pointed out, "She gonna drive and file for divorce again in style."

Several other commenters approved of the couple trying to make things work, including one that expressed, "I love how they never gave up on their marriage ❤️." A fellow supporter declared to haters, "Don't hate, just be happy he still showing her appreciation," while another wrote, "I hope they stay together and work everything out; they have such a beautiful family."

"One more fan proclaimed, "Aww, she definitely deserves this and more, Ray growing up at 45," followed by another that added, "Blacklove is such a beautiful thing!! ??."

Earlier in June, Ray and Love discussed rekindling their on and off again marriage after the 2023 BET Awards ceremony, where they presented the award for Best New Artist.  The mother-of-two stressed that love was not a bed of roses, but it always worked out, which she believed was meant to be.

Her partner then dished on their progress as a couple, saying it was all about their friendship, doing things they love, "and just hanging in there."

"She's my best buddy," Ray added. "I'm her best buddy. And all the friends and everybody we had around, they gotta get out of our bubble. I think once we start locking in like that, it just became super fun, you know?" 

He clarified that they decided it was better to "shut everybody out and focus on us and our family," given that there were haters in the world against them.

Ray and Love have had their fair share of problems since they began their relationship after meeting at a New Year's Eve party. As fans witnessed on "Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood," where they appeared as a couple in 2014, they split severally due to infidelity and trust issues but still reconciled every time.

The entertainers also went on to marry during the fourth season of the show, with the lavish ceremony taking place at the Vibiana in downtown Los Angeles.

Following the wedding, Love accused Ray of being unfaithful while she was eight months pregnant, prompting the 42-year-old to issue a public apology. Still, that did not stop them from filing for divorce multiple times in the ensuing years.
