Ray J & Princess Love Call Off Divorce Plans! Here's Why

American singer Willam Ray Norwood Jr., popularly known as Ray J, is back again with his estranged wife, Princess Love,  just months after filing for divorce. 

A source close to the couple informed HollywoodLife exclusively that Ray J fought very hard to keep his relationship with the "Love & Hip Hop" star with whom he shares two children, Melody Love, 2, and Epik Ray, 1.

According to the source, the "Moesha" alum promised Princess to fix things in their marriage, and she agreed to give them another chance.

The new update came after Ray J filed for divorce in Sept. 2020 via The Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles.

At the time, the 40-year-old also requested joint custody of their two little children.

In a recent interview with TMZ, Ray confirmed that his on-again, off-again romance is finally in a good place, and the family plans to relocate to Miami.

Princess Love, 36, agreed to dismiss the divorce filings because she genuinely believed Ray J is all in. She previously complained that he was half in and half out.

However, in the past six months, she revealed that the singer  convinced her that he could make her and the kids his only priority.

A close family source shared that everyone is hoping and praying they stay together this time, as they are happy as a family right now.

While it was Ray J, who went along with the divorce process, it was Princess Love who first filed for divorce in May of 2020 and requested sole legal and physical custody of their two children, Melody and Epik.

Ray J is determined to make things work as he intends to follow in his parents' footsteps, Sonja and Willie Norwood, who have been married for 45 years.

A source disclosed that Ray J had a prime example of what a successful marriage was like and wanted to emulate his parents. His mother, Sonja, has also been instrumental in her kid's career as she acted as manager for both Ray J and Brandy.

Another source shared that Ray J is a true family man, intent on having a happy marriage and home as he sees the unconditional love and support between his parents everyday and wants that.

Although the couple has decided to work on their marriage one more time, this is not the first time they started a divorce process and ended it halfway.

In November 2019, Princess, who was pregnant with their son Epik at the time, accused her husband on Instagram of entertaining other women with an extra phone.

She shared on Instagram Live that Ray J left her and their daughter,  Melody, stranded in LA after the "BET Soul Train Awards."

She also disclosed that the drama was because of an ongoing dispute to relocate from Los Angeles to Las Vegas full time. A month after the post, the couple came back together and posted a romantic maternity photoshoot.
