Lizzo Embroiled In Fresh Sexual Harassment Allegations From Six More People Who Worked With Her

Lizzo is once again in the spotlight as six more individuals who worked with her have come forward with allegations of a "sexually charged environment" during their time on the road.

These fresh claims follow earlier accusations by three of the singer's former backup dancers, who accused her of weight shaming and sexual harassment at work.

Lizzo has since issued a statement to that end, but her accusers slammed her response, noting that she didn't provide "acknowledgment" of their "feelings."

The individuals, who remain anonymous at this time, allege instances of uncomfortable behavior and inappropriate comments during their time on tour with the Grammy-winning artist.

According to the lawyer who's representing three of Lizzo's former backup dancers, Ron Zambrano, his firm has been scrutinizing at least six new allegations of a "sexually charged environment" and failure to pay employees from people who claimed to have worked with the singer, per NBC News.

The individuals involved include some dancers and others who said they worked on her Amazon Studios reality show, "Lizzo's Watch Out for the Big Grrrls." Zambrano noted that while reviewing the claims, some of them are actionable while others aren't.

"Some of the claims we are reviewing may be actionable, but it is too soon to say," he shared.

Reports of six new persons alleging a "sexually charged environment" and Lizzo's refusal to pay her employees comes after three of her former backup dancers, Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez, filed a lawsuit claiming they were sexually harassed and were subjected to a hostile work environment during their time working with her, per the Daily Mail.

The lawsuit details disturbing instances of the "Lizzobangers" crooner allegedly weight-shaming them and forcing one of them to engage in a racy activity with a nude performer in a strip club.

It alleged that Lizzo, whose real name is Melissa Viviane Jefferson, invited "cast members to take turns touching the nude performers" inside an Amsterdam strip club.

She also allegedly encouraged "catching dildos launched from the performers' vaginas and eating bananas protruding from the performers' vaginas."

Other allegations include religious harassment, disability discrimination, racial harassment, and a hostile work environment.

Lizzo's previous remarks resurfaced as a video of her expressing interest in banana sex shows gained traction online.

The video, which dates back to 2019, captured a moment where Lizzo discussed with 3FM's DJ Frank van der Lende, showing enthusiasm for the subject that is now at the center of the allegations against her.

In the video, the "About Damn Time" singer detailed her experience in the Red Light District of Amsterdam, known for its sex theaters, sex shops, and nude clubs and bars.

"It was people f*cking, man. It was crazy. But you know what, it was beautiful," she said, adding that she also witnessed a sex show where a couple was "passionately making love" and "kissing."

"But I'm trying to go to the show where you eat the banana out of the p*ssy. Which one is that?" Lizzo asked Van der Lende.

"It's the Bananenbar," he replied. "Oh, that's the Bananenbar?" she quipped. "And they have the banana in the coochie, and you have to go, [makes biting sound]?"

She added, "I need my potassium if you know what I'm saying. My p*ss-tassium."

The resurgence of the footage has ignited discussions about the potential impact on the ongoing situation and prompted an outpouring of disappointment from fans.

Per The Blast, Lizzo has since responded to the allegations with a lengthy post on social media, noting they were "too outrageous" while asserting that she's "not the villain" in this case.

"These last few days have been gut-wrenchingly difficult and overwhelming disappointing," she wrote. "My work ethic, morals, and respectfulness have been questioned. My character has been criticized. Usually, I choose not to respond to false allegations, but these are as unbelievable as they sound and too outrageous not to be addressed."

She insisted that although she sometimes "has to make hard decisions," it was never her intention to make anyone feel devalued or unimportant. She also noted that she takes her craft seriously and wouldn't do anything to jeopardize it.

"I'm hurt but I will not let the good work I've done in the world be overshadowed by this. I want to thank everyone who has reached out in support to lift me up during this difficult time," Lizzo concluded.

The complainants slammed her response, noting a "dismissive" undertone and an "utter lack of empathy" from her.
