Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes are taking their romance one step further by planning their engagement. The couple are moving on from their romance scandal after "laying low" for several months. The duo reportedly plans to move in together and possibly get engaged.

Since their exit from ABC, Holmes and Robach have been searching for a new project but aren't rushing. The couple have also split from their previous partners. Robach's ex Andrew Shue has been seen hanging out with the news anchor's daughters while Holmes is in the midst of divorce proceedings with Marilee Fiebig

Amy Robach and T. J. Holmes are taking the next step in their relationship- by planning their engagement. An insider in the couple's circle spoke to Us Weekly about their romance and said they're "in a good place" right now. They said, "They're moving on from all the negative around the affair and looking toward the future together."

The insider explained to the publication that Holmes and Robach are enjoying their time together as they lay low amid their scandal. "Now the plan is they do want to move in together and get engaged," the insider added.

Another source previously spoke to Us Weekly in March about their relationship and further plans. They revealed that the TV reporters are moving in together and have a "very strong bond." They said, "Friends feel they will get engaged soon because they were friends a long time before they became lovers."

Their Romance Became Public In 2022

Before their workplace romance became public, Holmes and Robach were longtime co-hosts of "Good Morning America." Their relationship made headlines in November 2022 after photos of them cuddling and being cozy outside the office got released. At the time, they were both still married to other people.

Following the shocking romance scandal, Holmes and Robach went on hiatus from GMA and ABC News. About a month after, the couple officially ended their terms as co-hosts and left the studio completely.

At the time, ABC News released a statement on their exit. It read, "After several productive conversations with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes, about different options, we all agreed it's best for everyone that they move on from ABC News. We recognize their talent and commitment over the years and are thankful for their contributions."

A source also revealed to Us Weekly that since their exit, Holmes and Robach have been searching for a new project. They said, "They are still getting paid severance by ABC. So, they're in no rush to get another show. But they're still pitching shows and would like to work together."

Earlier this year, another insider told the publication that the couple have been "pitching themselves as a duo" for their next project to multiple studios. The source said, "They've pitched a reality show, docuseries and daytime talk show, all of which they know will be popular and people will watch."

They also explained that Holmes and Robach are determined to stay together as they navigate their career futures. The source added, "Amy has said whatever they do, this is about real love and they're in it together."

Before the romance scandal began, Holmes and Robach were both married to other people. Robach had been married to Andrew Shue for over ten years and is still the stepmother to his sons, Nate, Aidan, and Wyatt. He had the boys with his ex-wife Jennifer Hageney.

During a June interview with Page Six, Shue's sister, Elisabeth, said he's been feeling "awesome" after his marriage with Robach ended. She added that he's "doing really good." Holmes was also married to lawyer Marilee Fiebig but filed for divorce the month after the romance scandal began.

Her lawyer, Stephanie Lehman, released a statement on the divorce, saying Fiebig's focus is on their daughter, Sabine. She told the Daily Mail, "To that end T.J.'s lawyer and I have been working together to move their divorce forward privately, expeditiously and as amicably as possible."
