It seems that Britney Spears and Lance Bass are finally connecting after all of these years!
The former member of NSYNC, 44, said that the 41-year-old pop star "flaked" on him when it came to meeting his kids in an interview published last month. It seems that the "Hold Me Closer" singer wanted to make amends, as she took to Twitter on Monday night to share a photo of her posing with his family!

On Saturday afternoon, the "Oops!...I Did It Again" singer disabled her Instagram account yet again. It's unclear how long she plans to keep her Instagram account down, but she is not off social media entirely. On Monday night, she took to Twitter to share two photos of her posing with Bass and the two children he shares with husband Michael Turchin: a son named Alexander and a daughter named Violet whom they welcomed via a surrogate.
“I’m a new auntie for Lance’s babies!!! They are absolutely gorgeous babies !!!” Britney wrote in the caption. In one of the photos, Britney’s husband, Iranian actor Sam Asghari, can also be seen wearing a denim jacket and baseball hat. Britney wore aviator sunglasses and a long-sleeve red floral top as she posed for photos with his two children.
Many fans congratulated Britney on her new “auntie” status. “I love this Britney. You look so happy – so much joy in your smile!” one fan commented. “Awwww. We love seeing you out living life and I’m sure it’s great to be with someone you’ve known for so long,” another follower shared. “Omg I am so happy you guys reunited ! Lance loves you so much and has tried endlessly to get in touch with you. This makes me so so so so happy,” a third fan chimed in.
Lance Bass Said It Was Hard To Contact Britney, Even After Her Conservatorship Ended
In early June, Lance Bass opened up about his relationship with the pop star in an episode of his iHeart Radio podcast, Frosted Tips. While interviewing music manager Johnny Wright, Bass revealed Britney was supposed to meet his children during her conservatorship, which lasted from February 2008 to November 2021.
"She has reached out through her people, wanting to meet the kids and all that,” he explained, saying that her team eventually put a “stop” to the meeting. He went on to say that it was “very strange” trying to talk to Britney because “You have to talk through people” and was not able to talk to Britney directly.
Although her conservatorship is now over, Bass admitted "I don't know how she is" and said that he had not been in direct contact since her conservatorship ended.
Bass made similar statements the year before. In June 2022, at the Vanderpump Dog Foundation’s sixth annual World Dog Day in West Hollywood, California, Bass told Page Six that he tried to reach out to Britney after her conservatorship ended, but with no success.
He said “not at all” when asked if the two had been in contact, adding that there is still “a wall around her” that makes it difficult for them to connect. “And, for some reason, those people don’t want her old friends involved with her life,” Bass added.
Although they were close during the 90s and early 2000s, Bass admitted in a July 2021 podcast interview that he hadn’t talked to the singer “in years.” “We’ve been kept away from each other for quite a while,” he said at the time, admitting that the last time that they saw each other was in 2016.
Fans are glad to see that the two are finally reuniting again only a few days after Britney reconnected with another famous face from her past: will.i.am. On Friday at midnight, the Black Eyed Peas frontman released his new song, "Mind Your Business," featuring Britney Spears. The two have collaborated several times over the decades, including for "Scream & Shout."
Although "Scream & Shout" got a music video, there is no word if "Mind Your Business" will. The single marks Britney's second song following her conservatorship. Her first was "Hold Me Closer" with Sir Elton John. The song got a music video, but neither Britney not Elton appeared in it.
