Google is tickled pink. Actually, scratch that, Google is pink for Barbie & Ken, Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, and Greta Gerwig.

More on that later, as fan reactions for the movie start trickling in along with the reviews, and clearly, this is one movie the women love and real men Ken. All puns are intended!

So, if you type in Barbie, Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, or Greta Gerwig in your Google search bar right now, everything will turn pink, with some confetti blasts too! And this is perhaps the greatest nose-thumb that Gerwig and her band of "dolls" can give to the men hating on the movie, calling it a bunch of feminist claptrap.

Something like this one, right here!

"Rolling Stone" is in awe of the movie, as it wrote a shining review that ends with the mother of all sentences:

"The victory that is Gerwig, Robbie, and Gosling — along with a supporting cast and crew that revel in the idea of joining a benefic Barbie party — slipping in heady notions about sexualization, capitalism, social devolution, human rights, and self-empowerment, under the guise of a lucrative, brand-extending trip down memory lane? That’s enough to make you giddy. We weren’t kidding about the “subversive” part above; ditto the “blockbuster.” A big movie can still have big ideas in 2023. Even a Barbie movie. Especially a Barbie movie."

Not everyone is a fan though, as Wall Street Journal’s film critic Kyle Smith wrote: "As bubbly as the film appears, its script is like a grumpier-than-average women’s studies seminar," saying "the movie is bound to puzzle moviegoers who thought they were buying a ticket to 'Fun Barbie.'"

Meanwhile, Rotten Tomatoes is a fan!

After a point, the fans don't know which of the two lead actors, Margot Robbie or Ryan Gosling did better as Barbie and Ken.

And no, the audience was not just the "young ones" as this Instagram user shouted loud and clear! "I’m not ashamed to say I’m 44 and Barbie rocks!" Others felt Margot Robbie was born for this role as they wondered, "Margot Robbie is Barbie or Barbie is Margot Robbie?"

More fanned over the entire cast, commenting, "Barbie is another Greta Gerwig banger!! Greta Gerwig has proved once again why she is one of the finest filmmakers we have today. This was the funniest film of the year, while also being much more than that. Greta’s writing & directing were PHENOMENAL!! Margot & Ryan, just wow."

There were plenty of Ryan Gosling fans, as one Twitter user quoted, "Behind every great Barbie, there’s a Ken who is totally fine with that. Hopefully, he’s right behind her in case she needs anything, because she deserves it. Because she’s Barbie and he’s just Ken. And he’s totally fine with that.”

Here's Ken, being just Ken, and it's KENough!

For Many Fans, Barbie Is All About Embracing Feminism

For many fans, the "Barbie" movie is pure feminism that thumbs its nose at patriarchy, sometimes without even meaning to.

Wrote one Twitter user, "I laughed, cheered, cried and satisfied watching #Barbie. It's more than just a "camp" movie, it's about embracing femininity and womanhood and it jabs wittily at patriarchy. I actually had tears in my eyes but a smile on my face. I loved it so much. I've never had more fun."

Others felt it was an exercise in humility, commenting, "It’s funny how men are hating on #Barbie by saying it’s a ‘man hating’ film but they don’t realize the Kens have the same role women did in real life in the fifties and some still do to this day. Maybe men should not have an opinion on this movie."

Of course, there were plenty of male fans too because, behind every Barbie, there is a Ken!
