Coldplay is giving fans an adventure of a lifetime!

The British rock band is extending their world tour and gracing fans with their first-time appearances in various countries. One of the most exciting highlights is their upcoming debut in Greece, promising an epic adventure for Greek enthusiasts. The British rock band will also treat their Romanian and Finnish fans to unforgettable performances for the first time ever next year.

Coldplay Set To Perform In Three European Countries For The First Time In Their Career

Following the triumph of their 2023 summer tour, which concluded with a mesmerizing show in Amsterdam, Coldplay is all set for another incredible European leg from June to August 2024.

This time, they bring their magical performances to Finland, Greece, and Romania for the first time. Similarly, Rome and Budapest will welcome them back after last seeing them in 2003 and 2008, respectively.

According to Stereo Board, the tour schedule reveals exciting performances in June at Athens, Budapest, and Lyon, followed by Düsseldorf, Rome, and Helsinki in July, before concluding in Dublin, Vienna, and Munich in August.

Tickets for these shows will be available for general sale starting at 10 am local time on Friday, July 28th. However, eager fans can secure their spots early by registering on the band's website, granting them access to the first phase of ticket sales, which kicks off on Tuesday, July 25th.

In case you missed it, the tour name comes from Coldplay's acclaimed 2021 album, "Music Of The Spheres," whose tunes have touched the hearts of millions, setting the stage for a remarkable journey worldwide.

Before the European leg, the band already enthralled audiences in various parts of the world, including North America, Tokyo, Kaohsiung, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Perth, Singapore, Manila, and Bangkok.

It is expected that the new dates will lift the moods of Coldplay fans following the band's frontman, Chris Martin’s announcement that he and his bandmates planned to stop recording new albums by 2025. He had said at the time:

"Well, I know I can tell you, our last proper record will come out in 2025, and after that, I think we will only tour. Maybe we'll do some collaborative things, but the Coldplay catalog, as it were, finishes then."

The news immediately sent shockwaves through the hearts of their fans, leaving them wondering what the future holds for the beloved band who first captured hearts with their debut album, "Parachutes."

Fans were equally disappointed when an official statement from the Juno Awards recipients' Instagram account revealed that Martin was battling a severe lung infection. In light of that, the shows in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, which were highly anticipated by Brazilian fans, were postponed until early this year.

The band's announcement expressed profound regret over the situation and reassured fans that they were working diligently to secure new dates for the postponed shows. While the Brazil gigs were confirmed for postponement, Coldplay did not make any official announcements about the potential impact on other tour dates, including those in Argentina, scheduled to begin on October 25th, 2022.

After acknowledging the disappointment the unexpected news would cause for their Brazilian fanbase, the band conveyed sincere gratitude for their understanding during the trying period. As for those who purchased tickets for these shows, the "A Sky Full of Stars" singers assured that their access would remain valid for the new rescheduled dates. 

However, they pointed out that since some fans might be unable to attend the new dates, they were committed to honoring requests for ticket refunds at the point of sale. In closing, the rockers expressed their hope that Martin would completely recover from the infection and return to the stage to continue thrilling their audience with their hit songs and electrifying performances.

The Brazilian show was eventually held in March, with Coldplay bringing out the country's legendary superstar Seu Jorge to perform at Estádio do Morumbi in São Paulo.
