Carly Rae Jepsen Gets Wordy Amid Countdown To 'The Loveliest Time!'

Pop star Carly Rae Jepsen is a woman of many words as she counts down to her latest album!

The Blast has examined many of the 37-year-old "All That" singer's latest career moves; in her latest Instagram pic, Jepsen is getting a bit word-y as she counts down to her newest album, a "completed set" of tracks she describes as "cast offs" from "The Loneliest Time," released last October.

Jepsen, who sang the theme song for Netflix's "Full House" reboot, released her first single since the LP's release last month. We took a look at the pop queen's performance at Glastonbury, wherein she debuted the track.

The "Shy Boy" singer isn't the least bit shy about sharing details about her new record's content! Jepsen decided to have a little fun with her Instagram followers on Tuesday as she dropped a few hints about "The Loveliest Time!"

Jepsen's latest track blends funk and dream pop, but its subject matter isn't so dreamy, according to the "Call Me Maybe" singer's Instagram reel she shared on Monday.

In the caption of the reel, Jepsen gives her followers some insight into "Kollage."

She wrote, "This one is fragile. I am nervous to share something so intimate, but I feel really thrilled too. Here goes everything…  'Leaving you was certainly the hardest part of all but I was living like a servant to a secret I was trying to protect.' My first instinct when I hurt is to pull away from everyone I love, thinking I’m protecting them. From childhood on my idea was to keep smiling even when things hurt," Jepsen explained.

She continued, ''Kollage' is a song about how wrong I was to think this helped anyone. “I did it to myself, I did it to you.” 'The Loveliest Time' celebrates honoring all parts of ourselves… and this song is a big lesson that I keep on learning. It may just be my personal favourite from the album so I couldn’t wait to show you! TLT July 28th" she concluded the post.

The "Surrender My Heart" singer shared her own crossword puzzle dedicated to her upcoming LP on Tuesday!

The puzzle is affectionately titled "The Loveliest Crossword" and features 13 clues.

Jepsen wrote, "Once upon a time I was the answer in the New York Times crossword puzzle. A true career highlight. My father and I thought I had peaked. I wanted to retire or throw a party and since I forgot to do both things instead I just waited for the chance to make my own. Crossword puzzle that is. "The Loveliest Time" will be a bit different from Jepsen's traditional method of releasing B-Sides intended for her latest releases. She gave some insight into what makes the album unique!

The "Talking To Yourself" songstress wrote in an Instagram post, "...At this point you know me so well I won’t even tease about a b-sides. It’s almost disrespectful because you know that it’s coming,” Jepsen shared. “And in fact this is the time to announce that it’s here. It’s done and a month from now ‘The Loveliest Time’ will be all yours. I can’t really call it a b-sides as if these were cast off ideas- it’s the completed set to a body of work that taught me so much about love and loneliness and myself…" (per The Blast)

"The Loveliest Time" will be released on July 28th!
