The gorgeous singer-songwriter Bebe Rexha has seemingly ended things with her boyfriend of three years — Keyan Sayfari, after she shared what many thought to be a text message from the filmmaker criticizing her physical appearance. The duo have been romantically linked since September 2020 when they were seen locking lips outside of Rexha's Los Angeles, California home.
Bebe Rexha's Supposed Ex-Boyfriend's Text To Her Throws Social Media Into Different Camps
Although Rexha's weight has been a social media topic of discussion for some time now, nobody expected to see her partner reportedly piling on her too. However, that was exactly what happened when she uploaded a now-delegated screenshot of a purported text from Sayfari recounting being "honest" with her when she asked if her weight gain altered her face.
"Hey. I never said you weren't beautiful and I never said I didn't love you. In fact, I said how beautiful you are and how much I loved you," Sayfari's alleged message began as seen in a tweet by Pop Crave. He explained that since he wanted to remain "honest with you," he told her her "face was changing" because he "cared." Continuing, Sayfari queried:
"Would you rather I lied to you? You gained 35 pounds obviously you gained weight and your face changes? Should I just pretend it didn't happen and that it's ok?"
After seemingly insinuating that the 33-year-old blonde split up with him over his alleged remarks about her weight, he added, "If you're trying to find reasons to break up this makes sense... but it's not the real reason. If you're unhappy with me/yourself/with life and don't see a future with us then that's ok and that's the reason."
The texter, thought to be Sayfari, then told Rexha that she should not use the topic "to weaponize" her anger, insecurities, or anxiety. "You know I always found you to be beautiful and loved you no matter what," he further typed before purportedly advising the "In the Name of Love" singer to "think about things and write things down, speak to a therapist and do this retreat thing to get to the root of the problem."
Sayfari, who quarantined with Rexha during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic per PEOPLE, wrapped up the text, stating, "Let me know if you'd like to speak if you need more clarity. Love you."
The update, which has been viewed over a million times, spurned a good number of comments, with this one reading, "That's the problem with hot girls! They date ugly men and these men gain confidence and don't even look at themselves! I mean your face alone weights 35 pounds, lol."
"she's literally like a character of a movie that is so sweet and lovely w everyone and everyone is nasty to her because wth," a second supportive netizen tweeted. A third fan claimed, "This text is filled with manipulation and gaslighting and y'all just falling for it?Damn, people really just wanna hate on women."
Meanwhile, this cybercitizen pointed out, "Honestly I was on her side until he said "I gain 3 pounds and you call me fat," if that's true then sis you are no better." They also noted that the suspected Sayfari had "told her the truth after she ASKED him," concluding, "Y'ALL BE MAKING ME SIDE WITH A MAN, shame on you."

Last month, Rehxa bravely clapped back at detractors who attempted to body-shame her after she gained a few pounds. The Blast reported that the "Break My Heart Myself" vocalist had sprung to action by posting a mirror selfie of her posing in the bathroom with her midriff exposed on Twitter.
She paired the image with a screenshot of a Google search with multiple keywords, including "bebe rexha halftime fat," "bebe rexha coachella fat," and "bebe rexha getting fat same." At the top of the two shots, the MTV Music Video Awards winner typed, "Yes, I'm in my fat era, and what?"
"The year is 2023, and people still haven't stopped talking about your body…. like," one exasperated person replied, as another encouraged, "Don't worry about that everyone has that era all that matters is that you feel good, and humble no stress!"
Rexha had previously spoken about her challenges with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and the unwarranted feedback she got regarding her weight gain during an appearance on "The Jennifer Hudson Show" in May. As cited by The Blast, she stated:
"Listen, we're in the public eye, so that's bound to happen. I was a lot thinner, and I did gain some weight — that comes with the territory. I'm not mad about it because it is true, but when you see things like that, it does mess with you."
The Radio Disney Music Award recipient expressed that nobody really knew what others are "going through in their life, so it is tough." However, she believed that since "we're in 2023, we should not be talking about people's weight."
