During an appearance on the podcast "Best Friend Energy" hosted by Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin, Davis openly expressed that marriage isn't her cup of tea. She firmly stated, "I'm not married. I've never been married," emphasizing that it has never been a personal goal for her. "It's not my thing; I was never focused on it."

Although marriage isn't on her agenda, Davis has embraced motherhood by adopting two children, Gemma Rose Davis and Wilson Davis. In an interview on "Today with Hoda & Jenna," the renowned actress also took a moment to reflect on her journey as a single parent, emphasizing that she harbors "absolutely no regrets" about embracing motherhood in her 40s and 50s.

She said, "There was no way it could have happened. People sometimes say, 'Oh, do you regret this or that?' No, I don't have any regrets because I love my kids, and I don't think I was ready (before). I wasn't there in my head or my heart yet."

When questioned about her ability to convincingly portray Charlotte's scenes, particularly those where she overanalyzed marriage rules, Davis admitted that it required skillful acting. She humorously stated, "That took some acting, let me tell you. It did."

For the "And Just Like That..." star, it was a challenge to avoid getting stressed on days when she had to film scenes that involved delivering lengthy dialogues about "the rules and the marriage and the whatnot." She reflected on those moments, saying, "I would just be like, 'How am I going to do this and make it real and believable?'"

She openly acknowledged Charlotte's tendency to be overly instructive regarding marriage, stating, "[She] was 100 percent devoted for two seasons, so those were stressful days. Because I wanted you to see the need that was underneath that."

While on the "Best Friend Energy" podcast, Davis shared that despite not wanting to get married, she thoroughly enjoyed filming Charlotte's wedding to Trey. Reflecting on the extravagant weddings, she stated, "I'm not a wedding girl, but, you know, Charlotte loved it, so I loved it."

Although she hasn't had the experience of shopping for a wedding dress in real life, the talented actress had the opportunity to select one for Charlotte's pivotal scenes. She recalled the process: "I must have tried on 35 Vera Wang dresses." Playfully, she mentioned having a stack of Polaroids showcasing her in various wedding dress options.

Interestingly, the gown that ultimately prevailed was a style she wouldn't have chosen. She remarked, "The poof one won, and it was just such a weird thing because it's not my thing at all."

While Davis acknowledges the desire for a romantic relationship on an intellectual level, she revealed she finds it challenging to navigate the practicalities of everyday life while pursuing such a commitment.

In an interview with Haute Living in 2013, she said, "I certainly intellectually feel like I'd like to have another romantic relationship, but I don't know how to make the day-to-day of it happen. I don't have time!" Davis added, "It has to be someone so awesome that I would bring him in and potentially share time with Gemma."
