Pop singer Harry Styles has become the latest target of an alarming trend where audience members hurl objects at performers during their concerts.

During his show in Vienna, Austria, on Saturday night, videos shared online showed the "As It Was" singer donning a striking green sequin jumpsuit as he moved across the stage between songs.

In this moment, an unidentified object was launched at him, striking him directly in the eye, causing visible discomfort as he crouched down while shielding his eyes with his hands.

Expressing their outrage and concern, social media users shared their dismay over the incident while denouncing the repeated occurrences of such disrespectful behavior.

One Instagram user stated, "I hate that people keep doing this!! He shows everyone so much respect and kindness and he gets repaid like this."

Their sentiment was echoed by another commenter who wrote, "This made me so angry. Get your shit together and stop throwing things at him, for what? For little attention?."

Another user pointed out the disturbing dedication behind such actions, noting, "This person must have been close to him to throw and hit him, so they waited all day and most likely camped just to hurt him?! Celebs will stop performing live and push the audience further away from them if people don't stop!"

Unfortunately, this recent incident is not the first time Styles has been targeted with objects during his performances.

Just last month, while concluding one of his UK shows at Cardiff's Principality Stadium, the Grammy winner was unexpectedly hit in the face by a bouquet tossed from the audience. The pink flowers caught him off guard as he skipped down the stairs, turning towards the crowd to greet them during his victory lap.

Startled by the impact, Styles could be seen rubbing his face in surprise, but he quickly regained his composure and continued with the show. The moment was captured on camera by a fan in the audience.

During a concert stop in Los Angeles last November, the "Don't Worry Darling" singer faced another episode of object throwing when a fan hurled a handful of Skittles, which struck him in the face.

At his Chicago show last year, Styles was also the victim of a fan attack, as he was hit in his groins with a plastic bottle. The star was visibly in discomfort as he bent over in pain.

Several other artists have unfortunately fallen victim to on-stage assaults. During Drake's "It's All A Blur Tour" with 21 Savage in Chicago, a cell phone was thrown at him, narrowly missing its target as it struck the rapper's wrist and fell to the floor. Thankfully, Drake escaped unharmed and was able to continue with the concert.

Similarly, singer Bebe Rexha was struck in the face with a smartphone last month, resulting in a black eye and requiring stitches. Despite the injury, she maintained a positive attitude, assuring her fans on Instagram that she was doing well.

In another distressing incident, singer Ava Max was slapped in the face by a fan who managed to make their way onto the stage during her performance in Los Angeles last month. The "Sweet but Psycho" hitmaker tweeted about the shocking incident, saying, "He slapped me so hard that he scratched the inside of my eye. He's never coming to a show again. Thank you to the fans for being spectacular tonight in LA though!!"
