Aoki Lee Simmons Shared Her Thoughts On Darius Jackson's Comments About Keke Palmer's Concert Outfit
After learning that Palmer's boyfriend tweeted, "It's the outfit tho..you a mom," and then followed it up with a second tweet saying, "We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn't want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is," Simmons took to TikTok to discuss it in a series of videos.
"I just want to say, I don't know Keke Palmer's boyfriend. I don't know anything about him really besides the current thing, but let me just say, I hate that man," she began her TikTok video. "I pray and plot on his downfall. I hate him. I'm disgusted."
The model and recent Harvard University graduate continued to explain that when her friend told her about the comment, she said she would "love the chance to punch him." She also said Jackson has "no couth, not one drop of couth."
"There's so many things wrong with it, but the way he did it was insane," she continued. "What he had to say was f***ing stupid, and the way he did it was so unhinged. And the follow up was unhinged."
Simmons continued to explain that what he said about Palmer's outfit made her sick "because she gave that man a beautiful child, and he is yapping on the internet."
The model's followers wasted no time jumping into the comments to share their thoughts on the topic.
"He really underestimated how much we love her 😒🤣 because who talking bout," one person wrote. "Keke did not deserve that and I hope he never knows rest again for putting that on the internet!" wrote another.
One follower called Simmons out for getting involved by saying, "Smh 🤦🏾♀️it’s ok to not comment on everything ….we was just uplifting you & your mama," to which she responded, "I’m uplifting Keke, another women being wronged by an outta pocket man. So I don’t see ur point at all."
A Second TikTok Video Continued Aoki Lee Simmons Thoughts
"What did he think we were gonna say? Like, agree? And then we're gonna, what, yell at your girlfriend and the mother of your child?" she continued.
"Also, I thought the dress was amazing, and so cute, and so elegant and like, very, not that I even believe in there's a way that mom should dress, but I thought it was very like, mom, new mom, sexy night out. I thought it was very nice, but whatever."
It appears at quick glance of the comments that many of Simmons' followers completely agree with her.
"Why are men crazy..please?" one person said. Simmons responded, "I wish they’d get a grip as a collective."
Another follower wrote, "Exactly! She looked great and just had a baby and felt sexy. We Stan that. Also, that’s cousin KeKe, we don’t play about her!"
Another follower added, "He dead a** thought we were gonna cheer him on. Please sir."
Simmons also shared an Instagram Story addressed to Palmer and another TikTok video responding to a comment that she received on one of the videos - "Soo wishing down fall & failure on the DAD is gonna help?? How is that going to help them grow as a new family?"
"I do not believe in giving men a pass because they hold a certain title in a certain societal formation of a family structure; dad, uncle, grandfather, nephew, I don't care," she said. "I don't believe in giving men a pass cause they have a title, right?"
The daughter of Kimora Lee Simmons and Russell Simmons also said that she believes that people deserve to be told when they're acting crazy regardless of their title.
"In general, this is a very toxic mindset. It allows, I mean, terrible things, abuse, criminality, to just continue when you say, 'Oh, the family is the most important thing, keeping the family together, you know, having a dad and a mom. No, no, no, no, no," she said. "The most important thing is healthy, happy, respected, non-abused children with a healthy, happy caretakers."
