Willingham hardly featured on Slaton and her sister Amy's "1,000-Lb Sisters" reality show. But despite his rare appearances, Willingham was a beloved character by fans, with the nickname "Killa K" or "Double K." He and the reality TV star first met while they both stayed at a weight loss rehab clinic in Ohio. Slaton was there for treatment to qualify for weight-loss surgery measures.

Willingham eventually popped the question in October 2022, and they got married about a month later. During an interview with People Magazine earlier this year, the reality TV star spoke about their wedding and marriage.

According to a report from The Sun, Slaton separated from Willingham in May because he allegedly wasn't "following his diet in rehab." The reality tv star has yet to address the reports about their marriage ending before he passed.
