Actress Brittany Snow is going to be able to keep the money she earned from "Pitch Perfect" in her divorce settlement.
The actress married Tyler Stanaland in March 2020, right about the time the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown was taking over the globe. Unfortunately, the couple announced that they were separating last September. The “Hairspray” actress officially filed for divorce in January, citing irreconcilable differences.
According to new court documents obtained by The Blast, not only will Snow be able to keep all of the money she earned from "Pitch Perfect," but she'll also be able to keep her leased Audi, her airline miles, and her rewards points as well!
Brittany Snow Will Keep 'Pitch Perfect' Money, Audi, And Airline Rewards Points In Divorce Settlement
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Brittany Snow will be walking away from the divorce with all of her airline miles and credit card points still intact. She will also get to keep all residuals from her wide portfolio of work without having to share them with her former partner. The court documents state:
"All intellectual property owned and/or created by Petitioner, which shall include but not be limited to, Petitioner's interest in her name, voice, and likeness, patents, trademarks, copyrights, service marks, trade names, books, writings, recordings, publishing rights, streaming rights, Videos, Video-games, artwork, drawings, and any and all other intellectual property of Petitioner or related to her name, including any income emanating therefrom, including but not limited to residuals and royalties."
In addition, she will also be able to keep her 2022 Audi 5, which was leased. She will also maintain control of "All airline miles, rewards points, and all other credit card points on credit cards in Petitioner's name and on credit cards in the name of entities owned by Petitioner."
The Former Couple Will Be Legally Single In August 2023
Both she and the "Selling The OC" star are waiving, discharging, and releasing him "from any and all claims and/or obligations related to the payment to Petitioner of spousal support, alimony, or maintenance of any kind whatsoever, including, but not limited to temporary and permanent spousal support."
The court documents go on to say that "The Parties shall each be solely responsible for her/his respective attorneys' fees and costs incurred in connection with this marital dissolution through execution of Judgment."
According to the court documents, the former couple will be declared legally single as of August 11, 2023, meaning that they are free to remarry any time after that date. Although divorces are difficult, Snow admitted that she is trying to "tune out the noise" and focus on her work.
Brittany Snow Finds 'Perspective' In Her Divorce From Tyler Stanaland
Just last month, Brittany Snow spoke to People magazine while promoting her new movie “The Good Half” at the Tribeca film festival. Although she previously mentioned that one of her “Pitch Perfect” costars was fundamental to helping her overcome her “tricky” divorce, it looks like she is getting used to being single.
“I think everybody goes through really tough periods and then it's all in our perspective and how we deal with it, right?” she told the magazine. “Because nobody's immune to tough periods in their life. And, all I'm trying to do is focus on myself and tune out the noise.”
In September 2022, the former couple said in a statement that the decision to divorce was “made with love and mutual respect for one another” as they prioritized the wellbeing of their dog, Charlie, in the split.
"After time and consideration, Tyler and I have made the difficult decision to separate. This decision was made with love and mutual respect for one another," Snow said in a statement at the time. "We have realized we need to take some time and make sure we are each living our most fulfilling and authentic lives."
"We started this journey as best friends and our relationship will continue to be a priority not only for us but for our dog Charlie," she continued. "We sincerely appreciate your support and ask for privacy as we navigate this new chapter."
At the time of this writing, it is unclear who has custody of Charlie Pepper, who Snow obtained from the Wagmor Pets Dog Rescue non-profit.
