While facing multiple harassment allegations from a 30-year-old woman, Jonathan Majors is receiving support from a fellow Marvel star, Anthony Mackie.

On Saturday, March 25, Majors was arrested by the New York City police, and the following day, he was arraigned in court on charges of domestic violence connected to the arrest.

Since then, the successful actor has gained negative media attention and lost several gigs. However, while everyone seems to be turning their backs on him, Captain America is certainly not.

Anthony Mackie, set to star as Captain America in the upcoming "Captain America: Brave New World," speaks his mind about Majors' case, indicating he has nothing but support for the Marvel actor.

Chatting with Inverse about the accused's future, he urged everyone not to be hasty in condemning Majors, maintaining, "Everyone is innocent until proven guilty."

He said, "We're a country built on 'everyone is innocent until proven guilty.' That's one of the staples of this country. Nothing has been proven about this dude. Nothing. So everyone is innocent until proven guilty."

He concluded, "That's all I can say. It's wild where we are as a society. But as a country, everyone is innocent until proven guilty." The "Altered Carbon" star is the first major Marvel character to voice out on the controversial issue, ahead of Majors' next court date set for August 3.

Mackie's statement comes nearly two months after Majors' first day in court on assault and harassment charges. He attended the hearing virtually at the Manhattan Criminal Court in New York City. On Tuesday, May 9, the "Creed III" actor was represented by his defense counsel led by his attorney Priya Chaudhry who did all the talking save for when Majors spoke to confirm that he had consented to a virtual appearance.

During the hearing, the prosecutors revealed another complaint from the reported female victim's account that led the district attorney to slam Majors with a third-degree assault charge, which he had to face in court physically."

With that, Judge Pauley ordered the "Lovecraft Country" star to appear in person at the next hearing on June 13. Pauley was also set to decide a motion requested by the defense at the June 13 trial. Majors has been quite tight-lipped about his ongoing situation, but his lawyer never fails to voice her support by maintaining his innocence whenever possible.

Chaudhry did so after the May hearing when she called out the DA's office for pursuing a case based on false claims. She stressed that she and her team had provided "irrefutable evidence" countering the alleged victim's accusations.

The legal counsel further proclaimed that the prosecutors were working with the accuser since they failed to acknowledge the truth and revised the case's charges to fit the female's narrative. Chaudhry articulated, "Yet this false case continues the woman's claimed location shifts and her story morphs. This is a witch hunt against Jonathan Majors, driven by baseless claims."

She continued, "Instead of dismissing the allegations in the face of the woman's clear lies, the DA has adjusted the charges to match the woman's new lies." The attorney again pointed out her client's innocence in the statement, disclosing that they had "more video evidence" to support their viewpoint but were "hesitant to share it, in case the DA tips off the woman to change her story again.

The encounter concerned the March 25 arrest and the June 20 Manhattan Criminal Court case he recently fought. Majors has also filed a complaint accusing the woman of being "drunk and hysterical."

Furthermore, he asserted that her attack left him in pain and bleeding, while he claimed that was not her first time assaulting him. Still, the Yale University alum confessed that he got physical with the female accuser because she had put herself in a "messy situation."
