When the going gets tough, the tough get going, and Drew Sidora is a prime example of unwavering strength and resilience.

The "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star recently filed for divorce from her husband, Ralph Pittman, and is raising their three young children independently. However, amid the challenging and uncertain period, she has emerged as a beacon of inspiration, prioritizing her children's well-being above all else.

Following her recent struggles, the actress finds solace in her work and family by staying "booked and busy." She has secured a new role in the upcoming film "The Pass," produced by her fellow castmate Kandi Burruss and her husband, Todd Tucker. 

The movie explores the concept of a "hall pass," where couples allow each other to pursue extramarital relationships. The mother-of-three described her role in the film as "spicy" and "challenging" and hints that fans will get more details in the current season of "RHOA."

With a positive outlook, Sidora takes daily, prioritizing her children and career. Reflecting on her divorce, the 38-year-old acknowledged that it still felt surreal. Speaking to PEOPLE, the "Step Up" actress stated:

"but just focusing on work has been good for me. I just finished my fifth movie this year. At the same time, as difficult and challenging as it is, God is definitely knowing what to do and keeping me busy and just showing me blessings and things and reasons to celebrate."

Sidora emphasized, "My kids keep me busy, and I am strong for them." The reality TV star mentioned wanting to maintain a sense of normalcy for her children and shield them from any adverse effects. She also admitted that pouring all her love and energy into them had become a great distraction and source of strength.

In March, The Blast reported that the singer accused her ex-husband of alleged spousal abuse and infidelity, hinting at a potentially contentious separation. 

According to the court documents, Sidora filed for divorce because she could not continue living with the "blatant disrespect and mental abuse any longer." She also claimed to have received explicit text messages from some of the women he cheated on her with, revealing a pattern of serial cheating.

The "That's So Raven" actress accused her estranged husband of physical assault and financial manipulation. She allegedly recalled that Pittman forcefully took Sidora's phone from her hand during an argument, causing her to stumble and fall.

The "Farmhouse" star also alleged that he controlled her financially, withdrawing a "large sum of money" from her account and allegedly stating it was for leverage without specifying the purpose. The court documents emphasized the irreparable nature of their relationship, describing it as "irretrievably broken."

While on a group getaway to Jamaica, Sidora, unfortunately, experienced a significant foot injury that left her unable to walk temporarily. In case you missed it, the trip Sanya Richards-Ross hosted took them to the National Stadium, a place of great significance for the former Olympic champion.

During their visit, Sidora, a former track and field athlete, engaged in a tight race with Marlo Hampton on the stadium grounds. However, the lighthearted moment took a turn when the "Skinned" actress stumbled and fell after crossing the finish line, resulting in Hampton winning the race.

Her ex-husband quickly assessed the situation, removing her shoe and sock to evaluate the extent of the injury. The TV star expressed her regret, explaining, "I took the next step. And I immediately felt my ankle give out. I knew immediately this was a ruptured Achilles again." 

Subsequent medical examinations confirmed the tear in her Achilles tendon, leaving her dependent on crutches and unable to use her legs. This incident occurred approximately 114 weeks after her initial Achilles injury in 2020, requiring multiple surgeries and extensive recovery. 

Throughout the journey at the time, Sidora shared her experiences with her fans on social media, demonstrating resilience and determination to stay positive and grow stronger with each passing moment.
