Vanessa Morgan Says Goodbye To 'Riverdale' In Sweet IG Post

Vanessa Morgan is known for her role as Toni Topaz in the CW teen drama series “Riverdale”.

However, the teen drama series is coming to an end and now Morgan is saying goodbye to her beloved character and the rest of the cast and crew in a sweet Instagram post.

Morgan shared a carousel of photos from her last day filming at Pop's -- a popular diner location associated with the CW show. In the first image, Morgan is seen looking at her costar and close friend in real life, Madelaine Petsch, who portrays Cheryl Blossom in the show.

Morgan and Petsch are wearing outfits they wear in the show as they were filming but stopped for a break to soak in the last moments inside Pop's.

"Our last milkshake, our last scene at Pops ? cried our way through it," Morgan wrote alongside the photos. "We are currently filming our last week of Riverdale. Emotional is an understatement but more grateful to my Riverdale family than ever. Last few days playing these characters- hope you guys love this final season. ?Goodbye Pop’s, thanks for the memories. ???"

In another photo that Morgan shared, fans can see the guys from the show hanging out outside of Pop's. In the photo are Drew Ray Tanner (Fangs Fogarty), KJ Apa (Archie Andrews), Casey Cott (Kevin Keller), Cole Sprouse (Jughead Jones), and Charles Melton (Reggie Mantle).

Fans do not want the show to end as many quickly took to the comments section to share their thoughts. "I don’t think I’m mentally prepared to see this show go," and "this is a lot to take rn pls stop."

Another fan said, "thank you so much for all these years of toni. words can't express how grateful we are for your hard work to bring this character to life. love you sm," while one user wrote, "VANESSA. DON’T DO THIS TO ME. I CAN’T TAKE IT MAN."

Other fans of the show took to the comments section to share things such as "You’re an unbelievable talent?" and "we are going to miss y’all in and around Locality and Jamestown. Great cast and great crew. We love you all!"

“Riverdale” has been airing on CW since 2017. The show is based on the Archie Comics series and stars KJ Apa as Archie Andrews, Lili Reinhart as Betty Cooper, Cole Sprouse as Jughead Jones, Camila Mendes as Veronica Lodge, Madelaine Petsch as Cheryl Blossom, Vanessa Morgan as Toni Topaz, Casey Cott as Kevin Keller, and Ashleigh Murray as Josie McCoy.

The seventh and final season of “Riverdale” debuted on March 29 on CW. The series finale is set to air on August 23, 2023. Seasons one through six are currently streaming on Netflix.
