Cheryl Burke has disclosed some tips on how to attain self-love!
No one is better than the professional dancer, who recently had difficulty leaving "Dancing With the Stars" after 26 seasons to teach about self-love. Thus, fans loved it when she walked them through the five tips that have helped her in loving and putting herself first in a bid to help them achieve the same goal.
Cheryl Burke Increased Her Happiness Through Keeping A Gratitude Journal
After a tumultuous period of going through an unfriendly divorce and then fighting her ex-husband Matthew Lawrence over the custody of their shared dog, Ysabella, the professional dancer has embarked on a self-love journey. And now, she has educated her 733k Instagram followers on how to get to the point where they no longer feel worthless.
Joining the "Get Ready with Me" trend, she uploaded a video that featured her excitedly going through the glam process as she shared "five ways on how to practice self-love." For her first tip, the Filipino American instructed viewers to "keep a gratitude journal" because it "increases your happiness and self-esteem" over time. Next, she shared that fans should spend less time on social media, adding:
"After this video, maybe it's time to log off, 'kay? Very rarely do I scroll. It'll alleviate depression, feelings of loneliness, comparison, anxiety, [and] FOMO [fear of missing out]. You can do a million other things that are more productive for yourself."
She then suggested making "eye contact with somebody" and having "dinner without your phone on your table." For her third tip, Burke encouraged fans to "practice mindfulness," whether through meditation, deleting distracting apps, going out with friends, or walking.
"Four, forgive yourself. This is still something I'm currently working on. You want to focus on your self-talk — that voice in your head- and change the perspective into a positive from a negative. Hopefully, the goal is to start to forgive others. Not for the act of, but so you don't hold on to that burden," the 39-year-old stated as she styled her hair.
Her final tip was for her fans to "work with a professional," claiming that "going to therapy is a sign of self-love and self-care." The clip wrapped up with Burke showing off her black leather top, matching pants, and brown jacket.
Fans' reactions immediately began pouring in, with one person agreeing, "All great ideas @cherylburke! The only thing I'd add is the one that I think is most important -prayer," and a second commenter stating, "I am going to practice these (5) steps, I have at least (4), of these symptoms I lost my girlfriend she dumped me for someone else."
A third fan suggested extra tips, including "Peloton, Increasing water, inspirational podcasts, Pilates, biohacking my body with activation," and a fourth chimed, "I do agree on the Self Love, but at the moment, I love your Freckles!!"

The other time Burke spoke on self-love was in January when she posted three images of herself in a white top and brown flared pants on Instagram. Amid a lengthy caption addressing how she would have handled her marital situation in the past, the television host revealed:
"Through all of the ups and downs, and "the work" I've done on myself, I find comfort in knowing that the only person who can fill up my cup, is ME. And for the first time, I can genuinely say that, I LOVE ME!"
The Asian Excellence Award Winner Added THIS Tool To Aid Her Mental Health
In February, The Blast observed that the 2005 Ohio Star Ball Rising Star Latin Champion shared a short dance video emphasizing how she helps her mental health. Donning dark plum tight-fitting pants and a top with a crop gray hoodie, she opened the tutorial by saying, "So another one of my resources, obviously when it comes to my mental health, is dancing."
Burke then slowly demonstrated the steps while sharing instructions for each move before she danced it out properly. She wrote in the caption, "Another one of my resources that has honestly saved my life is… #DANCE, so I created dance tutorials for all of YOU."
The two-time Mirrorball Champion also instructed viewers to show off their moves and tag her so she could cheer them on by reposting. She concluded, "Remember, perfection isn't the goal here. However, mental health should be our #1 priority, so... #dancelikenooneiswatching!"
