MrBeast Olympic-Style Challenge Marred With Injuries

MrBeast was trying to do a cool thing, but it ended up putting many people in danger and injuring a small handful.

The YouTube influencer hosted a new sports competition on his newly acquired North Carolina plot of land. In true influencer fashion, it is decked out with a studio and housing so that you can make content on the spot.

It’s reported that on Monday, MrBeast hosted the Olympic-style challenge on the property. It included contestants from all over the world, and supposedly, the incident and subsequent injuries took place during a running event that included hurdles and other obstacles.

Exactly how the accident went down is still a mystery, according to TMZ, who was the first to report the story. The competition was said to have become too intense, leading to a dangerous situation.

The incident couldn’t be ignored, so a rep for MrBeast is shedding some knowledge on what happened and did so the publication turned TV show. “MrBeast was working on an upcoming video with athletic challenges, and there were three minor medical issues out of almost 200 participants. Medical personnel attended to the people immediately and released them shortly after.”

Details of the injuries are unknown, but sources told TMZ that filming continued, so it couldn’t have been that bad, right? And since filming continued, the chance of seeing what took place on the property that day will be on the social media star’s channel.

Meanwhile, Mr. Beast is busy breaking another YouTube record he currently holds the title for.

MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, recently uploaded a new video with up to 47 million views in 24 hours. It has become the second most watched non-music YouTube video within that time frame.

The video is titled “$1 vs. $1,000,000,000 Yacht,” where he rates a sinking boat worth $1 to various luxury boats and a yacht worth a billion dollars. Pete Davidson made an appearance in the video as well.

The video was 15 minutes long and showed off seven boats in total, all in the price range of $1 to $300 million boat. The boats featured everything from helipad landings to ones that require hundreds of staff to run them.

With the property, the influencer hopes to start showcasing something different with these competitions. His videos mostly showcase the luxury lifestyle, which is attractive for many reasons and has garnered him many views.

So much so that he is the most subscribed person on YouTube, with 160 million subscribers, he already set up for this video to take off and likely rack up millions more views for the 25-year-old.
