Jennifer Hudson has marked the first anniversary of her most significant win!
Attaining the EGOT status is the highest achievement any person in the entertainment world can earn, as it comprises all four major American entertainment awards, namely an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Tony. Since it is no easy feat, Hudson had no problem celebrating the day she became the 17th person — and youngest woman — in history to get the honor recently.

When Hudson joined the crew of the musical "A Strange Loop" as a producer, she did not expect it would earn her a Tony for Best Musical. But that was precisely what happened for the "If This Isn't Love" hitmaker, who already has an Oscar for her role in the 2006 musical drama, "Dreamgirls," and two Grammys — one for her eponymous album and another for her work on "The Color Purple" — and an Emmy for the 2020 fantasy animation, "Baba Yaga."
To mark the anniversary of the enviable feat, the 41-year-old shared a stunning Boomerang of herself with her four million Instagram followers. The superstar's beauty was evident in the reel, which featured her flaunting a beautiful pixie cut hairdo and a flawless face beat.
She hooked her left thumb in her jean pocket and positioned her right manicured hand slightly above her bosom, highlighting the purple custom-made cropped top she was rocking.
The long-sleeved outfit, partly unzipped to show some skin, came with her nickname 'J.Hud' glittering on the upper left part. The sun's rays bounced off the "EGOT" encrusted with diamonds on the back of the purple high-collared top, as Hudson effused in the caption:
"A year ago today, I became the 17th EGOT!! There are no limits to what God can do! Its a year later and I'm still 17."
The clip has already garnered over 36k likes and hundreds of hearty comments from fans, including this one that read, "That's right, flaunt it if you've got it! J wy All hail the Superbly Talented brown sugar babe."
Another fan wrote, "Beautiful Lady Congratulations, Love ya Shirt and Love you more Jennifer," and a third agreed, "You are so beautiful and kind. Time flies! That jacket is awesome! You deserve all [the] best! Such a beautiful lady! Congratulations again." "Wow, it still feels like yesterday!! Amazing!!" a fourth person exclaimed.
Meanwhile, this greedy fan expressed their desire to see the mother-of-one win "Best Talk Show Host Emmy at some point," adding, "Then she'll be an award-winning Host, Artist, Actor, Producer."
The "Spotlight" singer had similarly turned up the heat when her Tony arrived in the mail in August 2022. At the time, The Blast reported that she uploaded an image of herself holding the physical award to Instagram with the caption, "Look what arrived you!!! @thetonyawards @strangeloopbway.”

For the pose, the "American Idol" alum paired a long-sleeved button-down purple dress with classic jewelry pieces, including barely-noticeable ear studs and a thick gold choker and tiny necklace combo. Her nails were also picture-perfect, matching her outfit with a darker shade of purple.
The BAFTA Award Winner Was Overwhelmed By Her EGOT Status
It took Hudson quite some time to become accustomed to being an EGOT queen. The Blast noted that she had taken to Instagram in the days after the big Tony win to tell her fans:
"Wow!!! I am overwhelmed by all the outpouring of love and support that I am Still receiving, and I'm still processing this whole new ground. What an honor!"
The "Tell It Like A Woman" star then appreciated her supporters who have been with her since the start of her career before concluding, "I could not live this life without you. Like I said when I won my Oscar, look what God can do. Well, He did it again!"
As expected, the post received a positive response from her followers and fans, congratulating her on the much-deserved accolade. Even her celebrity colleagues, including television personality Timothy Snell, singer-songwriter Michelle Williams, renowned actresses Viola Davis and Taraji P. Henson, Tony award-winner Melba Moore, and storyteller Essence Atkins, also celebrated her in the comment section.
