"I still hope that you can trust the process because if you do, this experiment is going to give you the answer you're looking for," he said. "It's going to give you the clarity in your relationship and you're gonna leave the island with a better understanding of who you are and what you want."

Everyone toasts to the next chapter in their journey before the games truly begin. And they might not be ready for all that's about to happen, so drink up!

"Your journey is starting here. And your journey is going to end here at the bonfire," Walberg said.

While going from couple to couple to get some inside information as to why they decided to sign up for this experiment, each of the couples shared something personal that led them to this journey. For Roberto and Vanessa, a big age gap seems to be a main issue, but there's a lot to unpack here.

"I'm allowed to have my standards and he has to determine whether he's willing to meet them or not," she said. Walberg then said something that made her loudly exclaim, "Ouch."

"But is he a work in progress for you to mold or is he an equal partner in a relationship that's gonna be husband and wife at some point?" Walberg pointed out.

Onto Paris and Great...Paris wants marriage and kids right away and Great isn't in any rush. Great explained that Paris is easily triggered and that can sometimes make anything he says sound like he's coming off aggressive. Paris also revealed that he's cheated on her more than just once.

"I feel like if you care about me, if you love me like you say, why would you allow me to come to 'Temptation Island?'" he defensively said.

Shots fired! That sort of sounds like trouble is already brewing with these two.

Heating Things Up A Bit For Season 5

Mark L. Walberg

Once the couples were done pouring their hearts out to Walberg so he could better understand what brought them all to the island, it was time to call it a night. This is usually the point where the couples say their goodbyes and retreat to their villas, but instead, something different was about to happen.

"Tonight, I want you guys to connect," Walberg revealed. "So, you're gonna go back to the men's villa and all stay together."

Once the couples were all in the men's villa, Vanessa made it known she was agitated. The rain set her off because of her hair and the drama began.

Bickering with Roberto, she made sure he knew, "I would rather be alone then to tolerate subpar effort and subpar standards."

After sharing some words back and forth, Roberto said that Vanessa can never be wrong and "will be mad to the day she dies before she admits defeat," so he apologized, and they kissed and made up before heading to bed.

And so the intensity builds before the real drama joins the party.

Jealousy, flirting, and drama just entered the room. As the couples mingled with the singles, it was pretty clear to see that trouble is lurking just around the corner.

Before the episode ends, Christopher and Maricela shared some interesting information about their relationship to some of the singles.

When asked if Maricela wants children, Christopher didn't hesitate to say she wants something else. Feeling cornered, Maricela opened up and revealed that she wants a sister wife, and that she's attracted to women.
