Despite the challenges faced after the tragic loss of her husband, Nick Cordero, she continues to embrace the role of a loving mother and reflects on the emotional connection she shares with her little one.

In a touching move, the actress created a video montage capturing the beautiful moments of her son Elvis' journey over the past year. She penned a sweet message for her boy in the caption, "My favorite memories from this past year as Elvis turns four today! Happy 4th Birthday to my beautiful little boy!" The TV personality went on to share a story from when he was in preschool, partly narrating:
"I drop him off at preschool every morning, and we are always running 30-45 minutes late, so he's the last to arrive. (🤪) Anyways, he walks into his classroom, and everyone screams, "Elvis!" Then one by one, they get up and run to hug him."
She explained that due to the outpouring of hugs, Elvis would playfully tumble to the ground, surrounded by a pile of enthusiastic toddlers. Kloot noted that the scene repeated each day, leaving her profoundly moved. The dancer expressed her deep love for the tiny tot and added:
"The things he's doing now and learned this past year have blown my mind. I wish I could freeze time but can't wait to see what this year brings. I'm so in awe, so proud, and so impressed by my little buddy."

The "DWTS" alum candidly discussed the emotional challenge of helping her young son cope with the impending grief of his father's passing. The Blast reported that she observed that Elvis had begun conversing about the "Bullets Over Broadway" actor's absence.
"The Talk" co-host shared her reflections on these poignant moments, stating, "There have been some times where he has gotten sad where we're talking about Nick, and he says, 'But Dada died.' And then he'll get very sad, which is heartbreaking as a parent."
However, Kloots noted that while she has not had to delve deeper into the conversation, she knew that "It's coming, and that'll be a whole new layer for me and my grief and helping him get through that and understanding that. So that's coming up for me. I know it's not probably too long away."
