Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes have reportedly turned off the lights on their love again!
There might be no happily ever after for the collaborators as news of their alleged breakup has become the focus of public attention for the second time. The duo, who confirmed their relationship in 2019, have been playing with fans' emotions after they seemingly reconciled six weeks ago, with some sources proclaiming that they had even moved in with each other.
Camila Cabello & Shawn Mendes Have Given Up On Rekindling Their Love Again
Although Cabello and Mendes started as good pals after meeting in 2014, they quickly became one of the most talked-about couples in the pop music scene. By July 2019, things had begun heating up between the pair, but they cooled off by November 2021, when they called it quits.
However, just one year later, Shawnmila, as fans fondly refer to them, had rekindled romance speculations. Fans' suspicions that the pop singers were on again were confirmed after they were caught locking lips at Coachella in April and later spotted cozying up to each other during a Taylor Swift concert just last month.
Daily Mail has documented that the pair have yet again gone their separate ways, maybe for good this time. Per the outlet, a source alluded to the fact that Mendes and Cabello may be done for good, claiming:
"Shawn and Camila have a lot of history, and they tested the waters again after coming back into each other's lives. But it was just a fling, and they've put an end to it now."
The insider added that the former couple "realized it was probably a mistake to give things another shot" and that "things ended between them the first time for a reason." The source further noted that the 24-year-old Canadian and the former Fifth Harmony vocalist knew "they aren't right for each other romantically, and now they just want to move on."
While we wait to see how the "Cinderella" actress and the "Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile" star will handle the situation, it is worth noting that they announced their first breakup with a joint statement. At the time, they wrote:
"Hey guys, we've decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever ❤️ . We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends."
A few months later, The Blast observed that Mendes opened up about life without a girlfriend with a vulnerable clip that he posted to Twitter. In the video, the "Treat You Better" hitmaker revealed that there was a song — which he chose not to disclose its title — that touched on his feelings. In his words:
"A lot of the things that also like is resonating in the lyrics for me is like… oh f**k… you know..you don't realize when you're breaking up with someone… you don't realize all the s**t that comes after it."
He then admitted to living alone since his breakup, adding, "Who do I call when I am in a panic attack, who do I call when I am, like, f**king on the edge, you know? And I think the reality hit me, like, I am alone now."

Before the news of Mendes and Cabello's second split went public, The Blast had broken down the events that transpired when they turned up at this year's Coachella. A source informed us that the "Stitches" singer was the first to arrive at one of the VIP-access lounges at the annual music and arts festival.
His arrival was followed by that of his now-ex-flame, who went directly to where he was enjoying the show with a group of friends. The pair remained inseparable for the rest of the night, bumping and grinding against each other as Bad Bunny performed on stage.
They wasted no time "holding each other's faces" and intensely locking lips after multiple tequila shots flowed through their system. Overjoyed fans promptly took to social media to express their hope that Cabello and Mendes would give their love a second chance.
