Renowned R&B singer Trey Songz has been embroiled in a legal battle as he faces a lawsuit for sexual assault. The case stems from a 2013 incident in which Songz allegedly groped and exposed a woman's breasts without her consent during an event at Foxwoods Resort Casino, where he performed.

The Grammy-nominated singer, whose real name is Tremaine Aldon Neverson, has also been previously slammed with several other lawsuits, including physical assault.

The alleged incident occurred at a pool party during an event at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut. According to court documents obtained by Page Six, the plaintiff, who identified as a Jane Doe, "thought it might be fun to politely take a picture" with Songz "in the background" when they were inside of a Bacardi Grey Goose Vodka-sponsored tent.

However, things took a distressing turn when the "Na Na" singer, 38, allegedly exposed her breasts in front of other attendees without her consent, leaving her in a state of shock.

Her legal team claims Songz, upon allegedly violating their client, "degradingly" yelled, "Titty in the open … titty in the open," prompting her to "nervously" laugh off the singer's actions to "mask her shock and humiliation."

According to TMZ, the plaintiff in the sexual assault lawsuit against Songz initially opted to settle the case out of court for a substantial sum of $5 million. However, recent developments indicate that the settlement agreement did not come to fruition as the "Can't Help but Wait" crooner reportedly did not meet the terms.

In the previous letter obtained by the news outlet, the plaintiff's lawyer claimed she was left feeling horrified with long-lasting emotional distress, adding that their client could not stop thinking about it and eventually left her job a few months after the incident due to the embarrassment.

The news outlet also indicated the existence of video evidence that allegedly substantiates the plaintiff's claims, providing a visual account of the incident in question.

In addition to filing a lawsuit against the "Heart Attack" singer, the plaintiff has also targeted his manager and record label, holding them responsible for their alleged role in the incident.

According to Page Six, the lawsuit claims that Songz's manager, Kevin Liles, and record label, Atlantic Records, failed to adequately supervise Songz and neglected to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals attending events where the artist was present.

"The sexual assault allegation raised in the lawsuit against Trey Songz is deeply disturbing and a harsh reminder that the entertainment industry must address this issue," the woman's attorney, George Vrabeck, told the news outlet.

He added, "Mr. Neverson's attorney's suggestion that the US Constitution would deny a sexual abuse survivor her right to justice is a slap in the face to all survivors of abuse. The graphic video speaks for itself."

In response to the sexual assault allegations and the emergence of video evidence against Songz, the singer's attorney, Michael Freedman, issued a statement categorically denying the accusations. According to TMZ, Freedman asserts that Songz maintains his innocence and refutes the plaintiff's claims.

"This is yet another example of decade-old allegations being repurposed into a federal case to take advantage of California's constitutionally questionable new lookback window," he said. "We look forward to vindicating Trey on the merits in court."

This isn't the first time the "Mr. Steal Your Girl" singer has been accused of sexual assault. He was previously accused of sexually assaulting a woman in Las Vegas in 2016 but was vindicated due to lack of evidence.
