In a different interview years ago, Harry seemingly opened up about wanting an "ordinary life." He narrated how he struggled with the challenges of being a royal and admitted to being overwhelmed on several occasions.

"I spent many years kicking my heels, and I didn't want to grow up. I felt I wanted out, but then decided to stay in and work out a role for myself," Harry said, explaining that his loyalty to the late Queen Elizabeth played a part in his reformation.

He later mentioned that despite his royal responsibility, he is "determined to have a relatively normal life and if I am lucky enough to have children, they can have one too,"

The Duke added, "We don't want to be just a bunch of celebrities, but instead use our role for good."

Leaving the royal family has come with many consequences for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, with the withdrawal of their security seemingly the most disturbing on the list.

The royal couple were recently chased by paparazzi after a charity event in New York, which allegedly led to a near accident.

The paparazzi were later criticized for putting Harry and Meghan's lives in danger in a statement issued by their representatives shortly after word of the automobile chase surfaced.

"The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Ms. Ragland were involved in a near catastrophic car chase at the hands of a ring of highly aggressive paparazzi," read the statement.

It continued, "While being a public figure comes with a level of interest from the public, it should never come at the cost of anyone's safety."

The shocking incident occurred shortly after the U.K. Home Office issued a statement declaring that Harry would not be permitted to hire private security to protect his family.

Despite Harry's strained relationship with the monarchy, he attended the recent coronation of his father, King Charles.

The Duchess of Sussex, 41, stayed behind in California with their young children, Archie and Lilibet, with the former's birthday falling on the same day as the coronation.

The palace said in a statement, per People magazine, "Buckingham Palace is pleased to confirm that The Duke of Sussex will attend the Coronation Service at Westminster Abbey on 6th May. The Duchess of Sussex will remain in California with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet."

Harry's attendance marked the first time he returned to the U.K. since he attended the funeral of Queen Elizabeth last September. He did not participate in the balcony appearance after the church ceremony and immediately departed for the airport to return home for his son Archie's birthday celebration.
