Rapper Takeoff's Alleged Killer Has Been Indicted For Murder
According to TMZ, Patrick Xavier Clark has been officially charged with Takeoff's murder. The Harris County District Attorney's Office confirmed that Clark was indicted on the murder charges by a Texas Grand jury.
In November 2022, Takeoff was fatally shot outside a bowling alley in Houston while celebrating with fellow former Migos rapper Quavo. The two artists were celebrating and playing dice with some other people, which turned into an argument, then a fight, and finally the shooting, which fatally hit Takeoff.
Two other individuals around the alley were reportedly hit during the shoot-out. However, Quavo, who was directly involved in the argument, wasn't hurt during the violent altercation.
Patrick Xavier Clark Posted $1 Million Bond After His Arrest
Clark was first arrested in December after Houston PD accused him of firing the shots that killed Takeoff. According to the coroner's report on Takeoff's autopsy, he was shot twice, in the head and torso. Police later confirmed that the rapper was an unarmed bystander in the wrong place and time.
After his arrest, Clark was released from County jail in January after he posed a $1 million bond. According to TMZ, he has requested a judge to pay $5000 for a private investigator for his defense in the trial. Clark claimed that he couldn't afford to pay for the costs of a lawyer or investigator.

Takeoff's family organized the funeral as a "Celebration of Life" to allow the community to grieve together and remember their happy memories of Takeoff. The funeral included a eulogy and scripture readings by Pastor Jesse Curney III of the family's New Mercies Christian Church.

Migos Aren't All Blood-Related
Despite the widespread belief that Offset, Quavo, and the late Takeoff are all cousins, Offset has revealed it's not true. During his newly released interview with Variety, the "Clout" rapper revealed that Quavo is Takeoff's uncle and is just childhood friends with both of them.
During the interview, Offset spoke about how Takeoff's shocking death affected his life and mental health. He said, "It's hard for me to talk about s**t right now. I've never talked about this stuff. Seriously. Talking about taking is hard, man. Talking about all this s**t is hard. That's why I don't, to be honest. That sh** hurts."
Offset explained that talking about Takeoff puts him in a mood and that he's still partially in denial about the loss. He said, "Some things I never tell anybody. He's not here. That s**t feels fake, bro. I get through my day thinking it's fake. And I don't say nothing to nobody about it."
Following his death, Offset paid tribute to Takeoff by getting a massive back tattoo of him. The sentimental ink job features the late rapper's face surrounded by a halo, planets, and stars.
