Cindy Crawford Dissed For "Narcissistic" Tribute To Tina Turner

Supermodel Cindy Crawford just posted a tribute for Tina Turner, one of many for the recently deceased Queen of Rock and Roll, who was plagued with many diseases in her last years.

While fans appreciate Crawford's sentiments, a certain picture of her in the post made the trolls rise and diss her for her inappropriate "narcissistic" post. Here's how it plays out...

57-year-old Cindy Crawford posted a sweet and heartfelt tribute to Tina Turner, an icon of her times and a legend of today, with a picture of Turner that carried a caption, "Rest in peace @tinaturner 🕊️💔 Such an inspiration and example of what it means to be a strong woman, to me and countless others."

There were plenty of Instagram users who seconded her words, feeling that the world had lost not just a great voice but also a great woman.

Turner, who was 83, died at her home in Küsnacht, Switzerland, following a long illness, including cancer, strokes, and kidney failure in her final years. Ironically, one of her last posts in May itself was about kidney failure and how she regretted not taking care of them earlier in her life. Turner got a second lease on life in 2017 when her husband, Erwin Bach, donated one of her kidneys to her, at a time when she was considered euthanasia because of the constant dialysis and other health issues.

In her post, Turner wrote, "My kidneys are victims of my not realizing that my high blood pressure should have been treated with conventional medicine. I have put myself in great danger by refusing to face the reality that I need daily, lifelong therapy with medication. For far too long I believed that my body was an untouchable and indestructible bastion."

Fans appreciated the Tina Turner pic, with some remembering her talent, others her beauty, and one fan even showing appreciation for Tina Turner's "great legs."

What most did not like, was the second pic of the post, of Cindy Crawford posing with a mic, in a very Tina Turner-like pose.

Somehow, this reeked of narcissism to many, and indignant Instagram users, were quick to leave the supermodel some choice comments because of the "narc vibes!"

"Why is the second picture of yourself? Kind of inappropriate in this case."

"Seriously. Please keep it just about Tina, since she has passed."

"Wow! The narcissism of this post. Very important to get a picture of yourself in there as well. Wow - just wow!"

"I’m a big fan but this is in poor taste. This post should be about Tina not about trying to make yourself relevant on the day of her passing…"

Thankfully, there were some other voices in there who stepped in to defend Crawford and her tribute.

"Cindy is the most gracious person. She is merely paying homage here to Tina. Both photographs were taken by Herb Ritts. The Cindy photo was created based on being inspired by Tina. Be nice to Cindy or don’t comment. 🤐 RIP beautiful TINA♥️💔"

"It’s a picture to show how she was an inspiration to Cindy."

"The point was that Tina Turner inspired other women and the two photos were a visual of that. But some women will always find beef with other women."

Still, the trolls did what they did best, finding "narc vibes" on Cindy's birthday post for Naomi Campbell as well!

Some fans appreciated both pictures, given that Herb Ritts took them both, with Cindy Crawford posing as Tina Turner in a themed shoot.

Others went a tad personal, feeling that Cindy's daughter, Kaia Gerber's Instagram story carried more respect for Tina Turner, given that it was only about her.
