Liam Payne recently attended the KSI vs. Joe Fournier fight in London and spoke to iFL TV about his sobriety journey. The One Direction alumni revealed that he marked his 100th day of sobriety and "feels amazing" about the milestone.

He said, per E! News, "I feel really, really good, and support from the fans and everything has been really, really good. So, I'm super happy." During a 2021 interview on "The Diary of a CEO," Payne also discussed his journey to sobriety.

He said, "It was only until I saw myself after that I was like, 'All right, I need to fix myself. It was like a few pictures of me on a boat and I'm all, like, bloated out, and I call it pills-and-booze face… My face was just like 10 times more than it is now. And I just didn't like myself very much, so then I made a change."

Payne also revealed that he started his battle with alcohol addiction during his time in One Direction. He said, "The problem we had in the band—and I don't blame anybody for this. I don't want to seem like I'm whining or moaning, 'Oh my god, look at my life' whatever. But it feels to me like, when we were in the band, the best way to secure us, because of how big it got, was to just lock us in a room. And, of course, what is in the room? A minibar."

The "Bedroom Floor" singer also said that his habit of turning to the minibar just "seemed to carry on throughout many years of my life." Payne noted that when he reflects on how long he's been a drinker, he knows it's a "long time" and that "it was wild."

Payne's reveal about his 100 days of sobriety comes shortly after his split from his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy. The former couple lived together at his London home, but Kate has moved back to her family in America. Sources have claimed that there was no bad blood between Payne and Kate and that they "mutually" decided to split.

One insider told The Sun Magazine, "There was no big row or anything - it just ran its course and they both mutually decided to go their separate ways. Liam knows it's the right decision, he's been throwing himself into his music and the rest of the year he is jampacked with work."

Payne and Kate were last seen together in April this year when they attended the launch party of a PrettyLittleThing showroom. The duo revealed their romance in October last year and had their red carpet debut at the British Fashion Awards that year.
