Lea Michele celebrated Mother's Day with an exceptional performance of "Funny Girl" on Broadway.

Although she had to work, the 36-year-old actress ensured she spent quality time with her son, Ever Leo. The two-year-old had joined his celebrity mom on the stage during her Sunday, May 14 show, birthing an enviable moment between mother and son. She has been playing the role of Fanny Brice since September 2022, when she took over from the former lead, Beanie Feldstein.

Amid his ongoing health scare, Ever still got to make Mother's Day memorable for his mom, gifting her a bouquet as she performed as Fanny Brice on "Funny Girl." The sweet mother-son moment was captured by an audience member, who did not waste time sharing the clip on social media.

The footage started with the cast gesturing for the former "Glee" actress to join them on stage during the curtain call. After she did as they requested and took her bow alongside her co-lead, Ramin Karimloo, the group gestured toward the orchestra, prompting her to run toward the corner of the stage.

Upon getting there, she took the flowers from Ever and lifted him on stage, to the audience's delight. As the crowd applauded, the "Les Miserable" star pointed towards them with her baby boy in her arms before heading off stage.

"I'm surprised! She doesn't typically show his face!" one viewer exclaimed in the comments of the TikTok video. A second person claimed it was Ever's "Broadway debut," and a third commented, "I was there too & this was just THE sweetest thing ?."

Another person who saw the moment live added, "I was there last night too; such a special moment! [was in a second-row orchestra; he's precious! Looks just like her!" "This was one of the most heartwarming things I've ever witnessed," a fifth netizen wrote, and a sixth chimed, "I'm not crying... You're crying."

The sweet Mother's Day moment came a little over a month after the two-year-old was hospitalized for the second time, no thanks to an undisclosed health issue. Michele had initially informed fans that she had to skip a few "Funny Girl" performances due to Ever getting hospitalized with a "scary health issue."

"I'm so sorry, but unfortunately, I will be out of @funnygirlbway today. We are at the hospital with our son dealing with a difficult health issue that I need to be here for," she had written alongside an image of her hand resting on her son's.

Per The Blast, the three-time Grammy Awards nominee welcomed her son, whom she shares with her husband, Zandy Reich, after a "very intense" and "terrifying" pregnancy in August 2020.

Last month, Michele shared a hopeful update on Ever's health following his previous second hospitalization. The recognized Billboard Women in Music awardee expressed positivity when she caught up with media outlets at the recently held Time 100 Gala.

The "Same Time, Next Christmas" star stated during the brief chat, "Ever's doing good. He's doing well. We still have a bit of a long road ahead of us here, but he's doing well, thank God, and healthy."

She was also intent on appreciating her "Funny Girl" castmates and her husband, who have supported her since the health crisis began in March. In the words of the animal rights advocate:

"The most amazing support from my cast and my family. My husband is wonderful; he's here tonight."

At one time during the medical crisis, Michele took to her Instagram Story to inform her followers that she dashed home to give her "baby a hug at home in between shows."

The action, which "was quick but worth it," was preceded by the actress revealing that her son's second hospital visit was "hard" for her. In the Instagram Story, which came with a pic of Ever seemingly taking a nap, she wrote:

"As parents, we have to be strong for our kids. But sometimes you want to break down and cry (Hidden in the bathroom or closet is usually best. Today I chose [the] hospital bathroom)."

"These hard times show you truly what matters and is important in life and how much we have to be grateful for," the Drama Desk Awards nominee continued before wrapping up with praise for Ever and an admission that while the tot was "going to be ok," the situation "still hurts."
