Lea Michele has updated her fans and followers with the latest development regarding her son, Ever Leo Reich’s health.
The actress exuded a thankful spirit as she shared that the tot was doing better amid the ongoing health battle that began in late March. The initial scare had been so bad that she had to drop out of the Broadway revival of “Funny Girl” to be with her baby boy.
Lea Michele Admitted To Her Son’s ‘Long Road’ To Recovery In A New Update
Even though her family has been going through rough times since Ever began dealing with the undisclosed health issue over a month ago, Michele has remained hopeful. The recognized awardee of Billboard Women in Music expressed her positivity when she caught up with PEOPLE at the Time 100 Gala, which was held in New York City on Wednesday, and stated:
“Ever’s doing good. He’s doing well. We still have a little bit of a long road ahead of us here, but he’s doing well, thank God, and healthy.”

She quickly noted that her “Funny Girl” castmates and her husband, Zandy Reich, have supported her since March, saying, “The most amazing support from my cast and my family. My husband is wonderful; he’s here tonight.”
In one of the “Glee” alum’s last updates, which came earlier this month, she said she had run home to hug Ever when she got a break from the Broadway show. The 36-year-old, who plays Fanny Brice in the riches-to-rags-to-riches hit, wrote via her Instagram Story:
“Ran to give my baby a hug at home in between shows. It was quick but worth it. ❤️.”
As it turned out, the sweet hug was preceded by the two-year-old’s continued problems, as Michele revealed that he had landed in the hospital again. She used a picture that showed the adorable boy napping alongside a candid write-up to express her feelings.
“Today was a hard day. As parents, we have to be strong for our kids. But sometimes you want to break down and cry (Hidden in the bathroom or closet is usually best. Today I chose [the] hospital bathroom),” the People’s Choice Awards winner penned.
The actress also mentioned what she had learned from the struggles, writing, “These hard times show you truly what matters and is important in life and how much we have to be grateful for.” The Drama Desk Awards nominee’s update ended with praise for her son and an admission that even though he was “going to be ok,” the situation “still hurts.”
The Behind, The Voice Actors Awards Nominee, Marked A Broadway Milestone Recently

Although she has appeared in a few high-profile Hollywood projects, Michele could not help but appreciate her long-running career as a Broadway star earlier this month. The Blast detailed how she marked the 28th anniversary of the journey with a slew of images that began with one of her as a young child on stage via Instagram.
The other slides featured her hugging a co-star and then kissing another and wrapped up with a pic of her holding a flower bouquet and smiling. She shed more light on the occasion in the caption, where she typed:
“April 6th marked 28 years of living this incredible dream of performing on Broadway. At the young age of 8 years old, I made my Broadway debut. Now five shows and 28 years later to still be on the stage, I’m so grateful to be able to STILL be doing what I love so so very much. ❤️.”
The post caused a ripple of emotions in the comment section, as one person exclaimed, “So proud to see you living your best life!! To more years working on the stage 🥂.”
“You belong on that stage!!! Your talent is immense and brings joy to everyone watching you!” a second fan enthusiastically commented. A third Instagram user gushed, “Proud is an understatement. You were born to shine, lea, the brightest star in the world. You belong on the stage. I love you so much.”
“Seinfeld” alum Phil Morris also wrote, “You’re such a baller! In the best way, my friend. So happy for you and my man. So proud of your journey and your family. Your talent is brilliant, and so are you.”
